What does it take to change history and destroy our reality? The same date; six different years.
44 BC: Caesar heads to the Senate for his date with death, despite the warning about the Ides. But some have another idea for the day.
480 BC: A massive Persian Army is invading Greece. Standing in its way: King Leonidas and 300 Spartans. More than the fate of Western Civilization is at stake.
AD 493: The First King of Italy, Odoacer, is assassinated by Theodoric, but what if the sword goes the other way?
AD 1493: Christopher Columbus returns to Spain after discovering the New World. But he is bringing back more than just word of his discovery.
AD 1783: George Washington gives his historic speech in order to prevent a mutiny among his officers. But someone would prefer he didn't.
AD 1917: The Last Czar, Nicholas II, abdicates. He, and his family, are supposed to be taken prisoner; but some have other plans.
The Time Patrol must send an agent back to each day, with just each having 24 hours to defeat the Shadow's plan to disrupt our time-line, creating a time tsunami and wiping out our present.

Look Mr. Mayer, #1. If you want to knock us, go ahead, I don't have to answer for your words, but how about even a smiggin of equal time, At? I'm certain other religions have much to answer for right? One of them still to this day keeps slaves, rapes women, and mass murders people. Do u have the stones to criticize them in print? I doubt it...cause you'd like to keep your head I'll bet.
#2. If ur going to be an author, do some research . You asked why people would worship a God that destroyed a world...if u bother to look past ur biases, u might find out that HE saved it, twice that I know of.
I'm not going to tell you the answer , if u want to know look up The Book of Enoch, and discover it for yourself. PS, Gilgamesh provides supporting evidence.
Finally, most people know the sacrifice God's son made.
could've been good...
