What’s a four-letter word for an utterly oblivious, totally commitment-phobic, heartbreakingly gorgeous man with a pet pig named Bernadette? That’d be D-U-N-N, as in Dunn Johnson, my very best pal and fishing buddy since I moved to Licking Thicket. What’s a six-letter word for a nerdy, crossword-loving town doctor who’s doomed to be hopelessly, thoroughly, irrevocably, in love with that straight best friend for the rest of his born days? That’s T-U-C-K-E-R, as in me.

Smart men never dabble with demons. I never claimed to be smart, but at least, I’m powerful enough to control them. When I bound Havoc to me nearly 300 years ago, I never realized how difficult he’d make my life, although “accidentally” lighting him on fire every now and then does bring a smile to my face. Havoc is handsome, mysterious, and somehow, my closest companion, even if we don’t always get along.

It’s a classic story: Boy meets girl, girl breaks boy’s heart, boy pretends to be gay to get back at girl, girl outs boy to everyone on Facebook. Okay, maybe it’s not that classic. But it’s what happened to me. When I bump into my cheating ex and catch sight of the moon-sized rock on her finger, there’s only one option to save face: pretend to be dating my gay best friend, Declan. And when she outs me on Facebook and everyone I know sees it, there’s still only one option: keep pretending to be dating Declan.

"Look out for Zach, and don't hit on him." My brother's request sounds easy enough. Keep an eye out for his best friend on campus and keep my hands to myself. Easy. Even if Zach is a quintessential nerd, who I've always thought was cute, I don't have the time to think with my...stick. There's only one stick I should be focused on this year, and that's my hockey stick. My goal once I graduate is to get an NHL contract. The last thing I need is a distraction. On or off the ice. A night on the town after a long workweek at my family's distillery should include shots and dancing - not a hot kiss with a handsome stranger. I'm straight. At least, that's what I figured until I find myself locking lips with a sexy city boy. Now, all my circuits are going haywire, and the spark that ignites between us makes me even more curious. Unfortunately, I kissed the one man who's off-limits: Cohen Mitchell - the sole surviving heir to the Mitchell Creek distillery, a rival neighbor my family has feuded with for nearly a 100 years.

You think you know me. That's the way I want it. Making you feel like we know each other - like we could go grab a beer sometime - is part of my job. Maybe the most vital part. It doesn't hurt that I'm easy on the eyes, single at 35, and born richer than sin. My aesthetic matters much more than it should, but all the better for my worthy cause. And it's a worthy cause. I've made an art out of making you feel good, and my influence makes you want to be good. Good like me. You think you know me, but you don't. Everyone has secrets. Mine could cost me everything.

Sweet, realistic menage
If you like friends to lovers stories, you'll love this book. It's a sweet journey of three lifelong best friends realizing they're in love and figuring out their life together. Low angst, plenty of steam and feels. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters to life and bringing the emotion when needed.

Good vocal performance, not much too the story
For a story with a triad relationship, friends-to-lovers, sexual identity discovery, a 30-something virgin and parental issues, this one was low angst until the ‘twist’ at the end and was really pretty simple. Seb’s epiphany while camping felt a bit rushed but other than that the pacing of the story felt right for the characters and what they are experiencing.
I always like friends-to-lovers stories…the shared history and established love makes for a more solid relationship. The life-long friendship and bond these three share made the switch to lovers effortless. The trust necessary in such a relationship already exists so the exploration of the triad is a bit more natural for them.
I like all the characters equally…not one stands out over the others.
The vocal performance is very good. Each voice is distinct and the emotions he brought to the story made it more enjoyable than just reading the book. I’m glad I listened instead of reading.

Best friends to lovers
I really enjoyed this story of 3 best friends figuring out they have feelings for each other. Especially when only one is actually gay and out about it. There wasn’t a lot of the usual people drama in this book which was good. I liked the characters and their relationships. The narration was great. I recommend this book.

The relationships felt natural due to the close bonds of all 3 main characters. seemed like an idealistic but realistic interpretation of 3 friends becoming a triad. expect a happy ending.
The performance was acceptable. Nothing really to complain about.

love love LOVED this one!
I've READ one other of Ms Davison books, and I didn't much like that book but this was a whole different kettle of fish!
Seb, Connor and Matt grew up together and still, years later, still pend a lot of time together. They know each other, in and out. When Seb is dumped after 5 years, he suggests a camping trip. In November. They get drunk and Seb has a light bulb moment and realises just WHAT he really feels for his two best friends and kisses them both. Seb knows he wants more with Matt and Connor, but they have to decide if it's something they want.
I really REALLY enjoyed this!
Seb is the only gay guy, Matt is straight and Connor is. . .Connor. Thoses kisses open a whole can of worms for all three of them, but I loved the way Matt and Connor talked to each other, before they decided to go all in, the three of them. LOVED that Connor had lusted after Seb and Matt for so long, and they didn't really know!
All three guys have a say, so we get it all from them. Seb's initiating those kisses. Connor's unwillingness to move things along, although WHY is surprising. Matt dawning realisation that he might not be as straight as he thought.
Piers Ryman narrates.
This is a new to me narrator and I tried to listen to another of his work, and something about THAT book didn't work for me (NOT by this author!) This one, however, he nails it! He absolutely nails the voices of all three guys, they fit each man perfectly. He gets across all the emotions from the all, from Matt's mother too, when she throws her hissy fit at everyone, and when it all goes down near the end.
His reading voice is deep and even, a very BRITISH accent, that reading voice, but then again, the book is set in England. There is a slight accent to that reading voice but I couldn't place it. It didn't bother me, but I can see that some people might not like it.
Me, though, I LOVED it. So, one for me to keep an eye on, I reckon!

Sweet friends to lovers story
I found this story easy to listen to, l liked the three characters that have a strong bond from years of being best buds. Each men has their own problems in life , but they always support one another, and are there with a shoulder to cry on.
When Seb gets unceremoniously dumped by his boyfriend of 5 years Matt and Conner are there to pick up the pieces of Seb's heart and his belongings. In an attempt to cheer him up they reluctantly agree to go on a camping trip in the middle of November. On their first night under the stars they all get soppy and drunk, but when Seb turns around and kisses Matt and then Connor things start to unwind in a big way....
I loved the feelings these men had for each other from the beginning, l may have found the whole story a bit rushed but never the less it was a charming story of acceptance, sacrifice and love for the person. The narrator did a good job bringing the story to life.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. Love it
I'm happy to say this book did it for me. I tend to not read MMM or polyamory for that matter, because I'm afraid one of the guys will be a third will, so I'm very caution. This does not happen here.
The relationship between the 3 men was already established, not a romantic one, but they were all friends before being lovers. And that helped a lot, because they all knew each other and how much they like each other. Matt is straight, Connor is asexual and Seb is gay. The dynamic between them was amazing, they were scared, happy, confused, afraid, fulfilled. There is a good balance of comedy and angst.
The story was little dull when I hit the 70%, but then something happened and picked my interesting again.
Piers Ryman is a new-to-me narrator and I was afraid I wouldn't like him because of his thick accent (British I guess?). But I was wrong, as soon as I got used to his deep voice, I enjoyed listened to him. He made all the right pauses (thank god) and didn't rush the narration, I felt calm listening to him. Also he managed to make 3 different voices for the MCs, each one matching their personalities.
I was given this audiobook as part of a huge giveaway, but no review was expected from me.

Heartfelt & Saucy
Really enjoyed I Wished for You. I loved how it was told from the three guys perspective and the narration was vivid and characterful. Maybe at some places it was a bit too kitch for me, but apart form that I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the not so pg ventures into their sex lifes.

Wishing for more than friendship.
Three good friends who fall in love with each other. Seb, Matt and Connor have been friends for ages. While helping Seb celebrate his birthday, the 3 men make a wish that will eventually make them a throuple. It's a lovely story of friendship, love, loss and finding confidence.
OMG - I loved the narration. Piers Ryman really nailed the characters of each of the men: Seb the exuberant one; Matt, the solid one and Connor, the unsure one. He was great with the humour and the heat between the various couplings. I really enjoyed the narration, definitely a great way to enjoy the story.
I was lucky enough to receive this book on request. The opinions are freely expressed and without bias.
