Just WOW!

Awesome story! Highly recommend. I believe it is for young adults but one of the best books I have listened to!

Great story

I liked the realistic thoughts that the character has. Her survival is interesting and not as unreal as other stories. The plot line is somewhat predictable but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Survival at it's best

the story goes thru the changes of a girl from society and the changes she goes thru in order to survive.

Good read

A little slow but it is a great book. It keeps you interested in the story.

A roller coaster ride. Hang on.

This was a great story! At first I was in question as to if I picked a good book because the main character starts off very entitled. But then you relax into her point of view and the story delivers a “before” and “after” timelines that smoothly merges into one and you are on the edge of your seat enduring the situation along side the characters. You feel tense and you feel the uncomfortablenesses if her predicament. And the ending is heartbreaking and maddening and encouraging and screaming at your listening device crazy good.

The narrator was perfect in her delivery.

I highly recommend this book.

Wilderness survival

Highly recommend this book.
The audiobook was well narrated.

The story is about a young girl named Sequoia who prefers to be called Jess. She sent to live with her father after she and her mother were in a car crash, in which her mom dies trying to protect her in the collision. Jess is left with serious body injuries.

Jess hasn't seen her father since she was a little girl. He now lives in Canada off the grid, not Alaska as the state believes when she sent to live with him.

Jess' father is teaching her survival in the wilderness. As well as believing he knows best about helping her heal. Be smarter, if you can't be stronger. She learns to take this to heart upon her fathers untimely death and she must survive. She survives with the support of their dog/wolf Bo. She believes she is going to die but want to live. Jess is stronger than she thinks in body and mind, smart,, determined,and will to survival for her and Bo. Then revenge helps motivates her for their survival against the person that kills her father. This is where smarts is important.

Excellent....

Both the storyline by Kate Marshall and the narration by Amy McFadden are exceptionally well done.

Very disappointing when it ends!

Overall this was excellent and compelling. my only complaint would be that the wrap up seemed to be a little rushed and the choices she makes don't make sense at all given the situation she was currently and has been in over the course of the book. once the end game began, "smart" went out the window and she kept going with the "strong" option.
