Publisher's summary

Top cop, devoted sister, and now Inmate 3329: even prison bars won't stop Harriet Blue from seeking justice for the murder of her brother.

Prison is a dangerous place for a former cop - as Harriet Blue is learning on a daily basis.

So, following a fight for her life and a prison-wide lockdown, the last person she wants to see is Deputy Police Commissioner Joe Woods. The man who put her inside.

But Woods is not there to gloat. His daughter Tonya and her two-year-old child have gone missing.

He's ready to offer Harriet a deal: find his family to buy her freedom....

4&1/2 stars

this is the last Harriet Blue book I am buying. Seriously the story was rushed after 4 books.

Unrealistic. Uninteresting. At least it was short.

I've enjoyed some Patterson books, but this one sounded like it was a high school project.

pleasantly surprised!

I have been waiting for over a year for this book to come out. I was very guarded to listen to the book when I saw it had a new narrator. After all, so much of what we get from audiobooks comes from the story we build up in our minds from the way the narrator tells it. I really wanted to know how the story ended, so I took a chance on the new narrator. You will not be disappointed! while the story was not nearly as complex as the previous Harriet Blue titles, it still kept me interested and wanting to hear more. Take a chance on the new narrator and enjoy listening! by the way, for those of you who are not familiar with the Harriet Blues series, it does take place in Australia. Therefore the narrator does have an Australian accent :-)

Love Harriet Blue

These stories of Harriet Blue are some of my favorites. Please keep ‘em coming. I love stories of string, fierce women.

Enjoyed

Unusual plot. A little slow at times but loved the twists, as usual. Would definitely recommend

Narration was inappropriate for action packed story.

The slow narration took some getting used to until I could ignore her. Kathryn Hartman never changed her delivery even when the character’s hair was on fire. None of this book called for a calm never changing cadence. It was highly unnatural. Is that an Australian thing?
