"A rip-roaring, bang-up-to-date political thriller that grabs you from the first pages and never lets go. Twists you won't see coming, nail-biting suspense and finely drawn characters that will linger long after reading. And at the heart of this book is a father battling to save his family. Unmissable."—Steve Cavanagh, bestselling author of Thirteen
“This irresistible spiderweb of twisting fates moves seamlessly from the personal to the global…. Mukherjee has put the world in a book and I dare anyone to put it down. Stunning.”—Janice Hallett, internationally bestselling author of The Appeal

Great capture of American life and issues. Twists and turns made it sometimes difficult to keep on. Liked the different characters defined in chapters.

Filled with scary ideas on USA future

No spoiler review. The narration for a couple characters was a bit off but, still good. I like consistently paced narration or narration that if I speed it up I can still catch every word. That is not applicable here. The story is truly cringe-worthy bc all you can do is watch one “balloon” pop after another. Meaning every-time something happened, more crap happened right after that. Just bad luck upon bad decisions, upon white privilege, upon racism, upon holy crap humans really do suck. I truly felt guilt for the treatment some characters got and anger for some that didn’t get what they deserve. I really enjoyed the book.

Non stop cringe read

The mental and physical issues clearly disqualify the FBI agent from field duty. Too many loose ends that lead impossibly to an incomplete conclusion. Not recommending.

The asthmatic FBI agent.

Definitely held my attention until the end. Really good plot that’s made even more interesting by the fact that it could actually happen in the current political climate, unfortunately. But there were a lot of plot holes and big coincidences that took away from it. Also, I was able to figure out the twist at the beginning because that character was presented as being a little off from the get go.

Good plot

as the story progressed along the well-trodden path of a conspiratorial terror plot, I increasingly became suspicious that his may well be the first book I read that was generated by a bot. Disappointed.

Cliché-ridden, shallow and contrived
