Publisher's summary

The year is 4545 and humanity has now colonized and reached the farthest points of their known universe’s boundaries, which has revealed a shocking truth nobody was prepared to confront!

Setting out as inquisitive children in their exploration of the cosmos, they had unexpectedly finished this journey as gods, uniquely sentient in the marvel of their own existence. They had found their universe to be devoid of any other intelligent life or creator. As the Galactic Union of Planets and its people struggle to find further purpose, infighting amongst its factions begins to break out. In the wake of this chaos, dark and sinister forces begin to rise, claiming the opportunistic spoils for themselves by seeking to destabilize the galactic balance of power and politics.

Meanwhile, Captain Rex Stormont and his crew aboard the Intergalactic Vessel Bonitas speed towards a distress call emanating from a deep space research station that has come under attack from an unknown aggressor. As they begin their investigation of the events surrounding this unexpected and uncharacteristic attack, they unwittingly set in motion a chain of events that will change humanity’s very understanding of their own existence and the place they occupy within it. The deeper Rex and his team go, the more mysterious this strange sequence of events surrounding the M104 ultra-massive black hole at the heart of the Sombrero Galaxy becomes. Are these ominous omens something that humankind should fear? Or are they the first steps towards the much-needed next golden era of humanity?

awful narrator

I like the story but the narrator's voice is so monotone I couldn't finish it.

Hard science sci-fi

The author knows he science and the book reads more like a documentary. I would appreciate more character development and human emotions, but it was good enough to warrant reading the next book and watch for this author releases.
