The nature of certain behaviors that are considered destructive can vary from person to person. However, most experts agree that psychological disorders threaten (or damage) the physical integrity, property, space, or daily functioning of a person. In this way, psychological disorders usually affect the rights of others, but you can control it yourself. Candidates most likely to be classified as destructive exhibit behaviors classified as aggressive, especially when the level of aggression is so high that they can be considered verbal or physical violence.

Simple, Functional, Brilliant
Since COVID hit I've been looking for ways to cut back on my drinking, and without the benefit of in person groups, was looking for a program I could perform while isolated at home. I came across this audiobook a few weeks ago, and figured I would give it a listen. Let's just say I'm happy I did!
Each step is laid out clearly, and the content offers truly functional methods and practices for accomplishing each step along the way. In the weeks since I've purchased this, I've cut back on my drinking to a significant amount and my wife is even starting to notice!
The narrator is even toned and articulate, and makes each section easy to understand and listen to. For anyone looking for a solid 7 step program to cut back on or quit alcohol altogether, How to Quit Drinking in 7 Steps I would definitely recommend!

Full of Useful Information
The author is mindful of all the complications that go into alcoholism. He's well aware of how our minds can tell us we need something when it actually doesn't. The book focuses on mindset that can help get us through tough moments, however it can take time to change mindset. I can think of a few family members with whom I can share this with. There are steps to take in this book that help guide someone through the process of quitting. I think this book along with good support could be a good step to take.

Great Advice for Quitting Alcohol
I really liked listening to this audiobook. It's inspiring to hear good advice of someone who clearly struggled with drinking himself. What I liked is that the book shows you more than just the basic knowledge about how bad alcohol is. It explains further how you have to change yourself, your habits and your surroundings to quit drinking. "Sacrifice for your goal or your goals become the sacrifice!" We should know that the right people will like us even more when we stop such a toxic habit. Overall, I can highly recommend this book.

Educational listening
I enjoyed the listening; it is a well structured and researched audiobook.
We all know that drinking is dangerous, both from a mental and a physical point of view, but just a few people know why and how to sort out the problem of drinking too much.
This book is quite eye-opening and highly motivational, in my opinion, because it explains instead of giving just facts.
An audiobook that I'd surely recommend.

Very helpful and informative
I picked this book because one of my really good friends became an alcoholic due to his personal issues. I tried almost anything to get him out of that situation, but every time he falls back to the same place.t. I know that it's hard to stay sober, especially when you are an alcoholic. However, this book gave a very precise idea about alcoholism, and I gained quite a lot of information about the subject. The author did a great job by putting out a lot of information about it; it seems like he did a lot of research about the subject. I found some useful and informative advice, especially how alcohol affects our physical and mental health. The author discusses retraining your mind, getting rid of craving, diet to control the craving for alcohol, drug therapy, and more. I recommend it for anyone who has a problem and wants to quit drinking or knows somebody who needs help.

I would not consider myself addicted but it is something I would not want to slip into. this book has informed me of the psychology of associating alcohol with relaxing as my brain has developed a habit and also gave some useful actionable steps that I have begun to implement, and I am confident they will work well already.

Good!
Firstky just wanted to mention the narration on this book because it really is a great narrator that the author has chosen! Very clear and easy to listen to voice.
I loved all the practical tips throughout this book for sure but what's even better is that it's a step by step guide on how to live your life in a much healthier way. It's not just solely focused on people who really have a big problem with alcohol but also people who like to have a couple of drinks on weekends but want to kick this habit in the gut.
Definitely recommend this one if you're ready to live healthy!

Informative
I got this book as I have a few friends whom I think enjoy drinking a little too much and I want to learn some strategies that might be able to help them. This book is quite informative as it explains what's going on in your body when you drink. It also provides step by step guide on how to quit alcohol and replacing it with a more healthy diet. I like that the book also incorporates the importance of shifting your mindset and focus. I would love to see the author write a second book on how to stay sober as well as I think this would be a great way to provide a comprehensive approach to building a better relationship with alcohol.

A solid primer on quitting alcohol
This book is a good look at kicking the habit and living a healthier lifestyle.
I liked that the sole focus wasn't just on "alcoholism" like it can be with many of these books. You can want to quit drinking without being an alcoholic. There is a lot of practical advice such as avoiding bars and other venues where alcohol is the main focus, along with steps like focusing on healthier habits instead of just having a void in your life.
Highly recommend.
