A course meant for video

The information in this course is helpful and delivered with pure joy. The instructor is great. HOWEVER - most of the course contains statements like “now look at this garden, see how it is arranged?” Or “look at the texture in those big bold leaves.” Absolutely useless in an audio course. Thankfully, I was able to listen to this for free with my Audible account. I would not buy thos though- it’s meant for video.

video format with just the audio

this was far subpar to the standard I'm use to from TGC content. I was expecting an academic approach to gardening, I was hoping to learn more on soil theory & compost methodologies and instead I got a YouTube audio strip. With content focused on the presenters personal taste with little substance or course structure.
This was the first Great Coarse "Lecture" I have returned.
highly disappointed.

Terrible Audiobook

Possibly an ok video series bur this makes for a terrible Audiobook. Too many references to a visual demonstration, and really overal not a lot of useful info in this format. Was pretty disappointed overall

Not meant to be an audiobook

She refers to a lot of photos, videos, or other visualizations and does not describe them for an audiobook audience.

a frustrating listen

Should have read the review on this one. The narrator is constantly referring to what is clearly and endless stream of visual aides and planting demonstrations. There is some helpful info but the constant references to visual aides while listening to an audio only track is frustrating. This is not a lecture like all of the other Great Courses I have in my library. It's like listening to a demonstration while blindfolded. Google the title instead and watch the video preview. If you like the preview, then spring for a source with video instead.

Not suitable for audiobook.

narration lacks enough detail to be suitable as an audiobook. half the book is the narrator talking about pictures without description.
