Publisher's Summary

Abraham Davis - Honest Abe to his friends - is in over his head....

He’s a fixer and a do good-er. The all-knowing resident "grandfather" on the wrestling team who everyone relies on to fix their problems. His teammates go to him for everything: advice, homework, or when they need a sober driver at three in the morning - whether he likes it or not.

Abe’s current mission is easy: mend his roommate's broken heart by helping him find a girlfriend on the LoveU app - without getting caught in the lie....

Skylar Gabriel. Is. Over. It.

Over her bad grades. And over dating douchebags. What she wants to know is: Where have all the nice guys gone?

She longs for a handsome, sweet, and honest guy who can make her laugh. In one last ditch effort to prove that he exists, Skylar turns to LoveU.

On her worst day, Skylar has no filter (it’s a miracle she hasn’t been ditched mid-date).
On her best, she’s as wholesome and sweet as pie.
On Thursday? She matches with Abraham Davis’s roommate.

Skylar Gabriel is falling for the wrong guy - she just doesn’t realize it yet.

Why?

Because Abe Davis is a liar.

Ok

Cute story, but not as good as the other books in the series. Great narration.

The Lying Hours

Adorable, Abe is Adorable!!
I really enjoyed this book, I love that he is kind of a pushover but when it came time to put up or shut up he put up, even when it went against his nature.

I think JB is the highest douchebag and I am glad he wasn’t the one for Skylar.

I loved the interaction between Skylar and her bestie Hannah who I hope get a book ASAP because that ending was amazeballs.

Also I was cracking up with Abe and Zeke, I mean who would have thought how cute was Zeke he is my all-time favorite of the Douchebags and for him to be so dang cute well I just couldn’t stop smiling throughout all the parts with him.

I loved the narration, Muffy is the best and Jacob well he just has that kind of voice you know.

Got audible just for Jacob Morgan!

After completing all of the Sara Ney Douchebag series, I purchased the latest on Kindle since it was not available on Audible at the time. But when I saw it had been released on Audible with Jacob Morgan narrating... well I’ve never been so excited for a do over! He is a huge selling factor for me. He makes any book that much better!

couldn't get past half way in

tried, i really tried, because I've thoroughly enjoyed some books by this author. just plain could not do it. first hour and a half of book just reading text messagesfrom conversations from a dating app. up to 3:20 ish minutes not one interesting or funny moment - more pathetic than anything. sorry because I know it sounds harsh.

Great story

I have been on a Sarah Ney kick and I am not even sorry. This was the first in this series that I read, but I really loved it. I stayed away from it because of the name of the series, but now that I read more Sara, I feel like I can trust her as an author and I am so happy about that. I loved Abe and Skylar. Abe was such a "helper" and wanted to help his buddy find a date through the school's dating website. JB was the d bag here, and he was a pretty big one. I was happy that we only had to get 50% in before the truth came out about who was talking to Skylar. I really liked seeing Abe grovel for what he did. He knew that Skylar was the one for him and I don't blame him for what he did, but he should have come out with it way sooner. This was such a fun read and I can't wait to read more.

Ok

Not my favorite in the series, but it passed the time. While this wasn’t a really short book, everything in this book happened within a couple weeks, so seemed long, time wise. And because it’s only been a couple weeks, thankfully (amazingly) they didn’t totally confess their undying love for each other at the end. It did have a few lol moments with funny things the roommate said. Will probably read/listen to the next book about Hannah.

Good

The standards are very high with this series, which I have loved. This one didn’t bring out as many feelings of love as the others, but I did enjoy it. Loved Abe and Skyler was ok. They weren’t as compelling as the other couples, but maybe it was the lack of angst involved. I didn’t enjoy the contrived ‘drama’ at the end - just seemed kinda silly. I really liked Zeke’s role in the book, whether I thought it fit his personality or not. I had hated how she wrote Zeke and Oz in the book with Rhett, so this was nice.

Might be my favorite of the series

These characters are hilarious and the narration is spot on. My only complaint is that I would have loved a bit more complexity to the plot, but I seriously enjoyed this listen from beginning to end.

Started out so well

This is the last of the series. It started out so well. Then it is like a new author took over. It went from making me laugh out loud to thinking ...WTF. Narrators as always did a great job.

really funny

I was kind of disappointed in the story itself but I enjoyed it anyway because the characters were funny. At times I found myself laughing alone in the house. The narrators are the best, I keep choosing books because of their narrations.

Fun to listen to

I love the How to Date a Douchebag series, so I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't love The Lying Hours as much as the previous books in the series. I still liked it, but Abe and Skylar turned out to be my least favourite couple across the series.

My favourite characters in this were 2 of the secondary characters. Zeke, an old favourite, and Hannah. Hannah was hilarious. She's funny, straight forward and tells it exactly like it is. The main douchebag in this story is JB. I was waiting the whole story for Abe to finally tell him to scoot off.

I loved the narrators, and enjoyed listening to this story. It was pretty slow going to listen to all the messaging (I had to speed it up to get through those parts), but overall it was fun to listen to.
