Awesome 2nd-6th

Narration was great. Justine Eyre has been a slow acquired taste for me as I really hated her voice in the past but with time and finding a good speed to listen to her with ( usually .95x) I've come to actually really love her.

This review is for the 2nd through 6th in series. Highly enjoyed all these and recommended!

Epilogue??

I would have rated this as a 5 star, but the epilogue is inexplicably missing.

Couldn’t put it down

I’m not a fan of the narrator but I’ve found a new favorite author for historical romances! I’ve read two of JAL’s books so far - this one and what I did for a duke and really enjoyed them. If you are a fan of authors like sherry Thomas/ earlier works for Mary Balogh with a little more angst, and a LOT of romance, chemistry and witty dialogue, you will enjoy this book. I took away one star because I’m picky and only rate a book 5 stars if it’s one I feel the need to reread portions of immediately after.. this one was gripping and I couldn’t put it down but I didn’t feel the desire to revisit immediately.

worst book by Julie Anne Long - I truly hated it

I generally adore and love everything Julie Anne Long writes, but this particular story is just god-awful. The supposed hero is a jerk. The heroine initially rejects him for being a jerk and then immediately and inexplicably decides to have sex with him. All the heroine's friends are mean and unlikeable. I hated every single character except her cat.
