Publisher's Summary

Evil rises up from the shadows of Haslam House....

As paranormal investigator Marcus Mortlake recovers from his latest battle with the supernatural, he finds himself haunted by a face from his past. His former lover calls to him from beyond the veil of sleep. But are these disturbing visions just dreams...or something far more sinister?

Meanwhile, Mortlake’s new assistant, Tara Pride, has discovered a paranormal site worthy of investigation. Haslam House has no shortage of restless spirits prowling its dusty halls, communicating with the owner’s young daughter through pictures and drawings. The spirits whisper their pleas to be saved from a dark presence, whose hunger for souls has grown ravenous over the centuries....

Vowing to rid the house of this deadly force once and for all, Mortlake and Tara prepare to do battle. But will Mortlake’s tricks and Tara’s fledging psychic abilities be enough to stop a being who has preyed on humanity since the dawn of time?

Or will their souls join the other victims, trapped for all eternity in Haslam House?

Books that make ya go hmmm!

This book is about two of the things that I fear the most, which kept my heart racing! I read the whole book in one day. I couldn’t put it down. When I was sitting out in 100° heat, this book kept my mind off the heat, which isn’t an easy thing to do. I can’t wait until the next book!

What an amazing book

This is the second book of this series and I think I liked it better then the first!!! Very fun story. Professor Mortlake features prominently in this crazy story that centers around a very haunted house. But it’s it haunted by the medium who died in it or are there other forces at work??? It’s a story that is well narrated and will keep your attention to the very end.

Haunted House

This is the 2nd of series. Loved the Characters of Mortlake, Tara, Anita, Carl, Tim and Ellie (an extremely sensitive child) but not Gonfallon and Cassandra. Tara is on short vacation with Anita to the Haslam House as it is haunted but ends up calling Mortlake to help deal with the supernatural. Hope there will be more of them and liked it more than the 1st and good narration

KAZ🇬🇧😀 It's an ok 📖

If you can get past the absolutely awful English accent's then the storyline is pretty good Ohh and don't get me started on the attempted so called Polish accent it's hilarious and sound's nothing like it,more like a really bad Pakistani trying to speak English 🤣🤣 I liked the character's especially little Ellie the child has been seeing a woman who's dead
There's a haunted house with a terrible past & a demon who want's soul's to devour Ghosts that can commit horrible act's on the living Overall it's an ok book still only giving it 3 out of 5 though mainly because of the terrible British accent's 😳
