Publisher's summary

The follow-up to the best-selling House of Dolls turns up the action and suspense and introduces new characters you'll have to hear to believe!

Roman Martin is a normal guy with an incredible superpower who has surrounded himself with an assortment of oddities, from killer animated dolls to deadly spies.

He still has the desire to do something good with his newfound power, but a reformed office worker with a dark past might not have what it takes to become a superhero, especially in Centralia, a privileged country where those with powers are separated from those without.

Even worse, Roman has to keep his superpower a secret, which is increasingly difficult after a bounty has been placed on his head, his workplace is attacked, and someone close to him has turned up missing.

With his past catching up to him, and his future murky at best, Roman heads to the Eastern Province alongside the Eastern spy known as Nadine, both of them looking into the disappearance of an entire class of people.

What Roman discovers could send shock waves through all of Centralia, if he makes it out alive.

Warning: House of Dolls 2 contains a harem, toxic cat girls, superpowers used in ways they weren’t intended to be used, cosplay, fantasy violence, necromancy, dark themes, and other trigger-worthy adult situations. It was inspired by Office Space, the anime High School DxD, Drew Hayes’ Super Powereds, and The Americans

Contains mature themes.

even better than the first

this sequel was even better than the first which is a rarity in any story telling media, it seemed to just improve on the first, though I do warn you the cliff hangers will leave you purchasing the third asap

ok well im done

everything that I found annoying about this guy in the first book is worse here he is genuinely a terrible person. his I'm so tortured and flawed please love me bullshit is exhausting honestly I think that if you took him out of the book and make Nadia the main character it would be a huge Improvement apart from that you have fun Powers cool villains and once again good action I just wish that Harmon Cooper would get out of his own way and stop giving us these shity protagonist also I really genuinely hate his whole I'm going to take a thing and you call it a different thing to see more original other than that it's okay

a good listen

The second book continues in the same trend as the previous one. Intrigues, action and 'action'. If you liked the first one this one will not disappoint. I did start to like the mc more.

Even more amazing awesomeness.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love the way Cooper portrays these characters. The mc seems to care more for his dolls then his own well being which is completely believable in the way he is written. I wonder how this will effect his next one and how this progresses in the future. Thank you for this story and u can't wait for the next one.

I skipped most of it Roman is to naive and idiotic for me

I skipped most of not all the book but from what I did listen the performance was great and the story was good but Roman is so naive and to trusting can’t think for himself, I can’t stand people like that, so I’m done with this series

A Great Addition!

This is another great story from Harmon Cooper, the story just grows deeper and more interesting. The characters are growing and are extremely interesting. I can't wait to see where this is going and hope that it can end well.
excellent narration also, I really enjoyed this book.

Keeps getting better

Another home run. Lots of action. Crazy ideas with loads of laughs and some steamy stuff that fits well into the story and doesn’t take from the over all experience. Can’t wait for the next one

still not sure what the actual plot is

this all seems like the MCs are bumbling along with no plans, rhyme or reason...

Yes, it really is better than book 1

Harmon Cooper writes another story in the series that, while still a harem novel, it only touches lightly on that aspect. Mostly, it focuses on a story of intrigue, betrayal, compromises and a bit of some level of self-realization. They all combine to make the story captivating and entertaining.

Neil Hellegers performance brings out each significant character's personality and distinct role they play in the story.
