Good story - bad narration

Sure. It was entertaining.

Erotic romance novellas

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She tried to put too much acting into it. Different voices are one thing, but she adds horrible accents in. (I can tell she has a natural NY accent, but putting a big Bronx address on a main character was SO annoying. It didn't fit at all.) She added this weird British accent to a side character - no biggie, but just an example of what was both annoying and unnecessary.

Serious flaws....but correctable

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The stories are basically good, but the unusual pronunciation in the narrators dialect is distracting. Needs a better editor too.

wish the narrator would broaden her vocabulary.

This narrator could use some help on pronouncing simple words....Really makes it painful to listen!

The Unwilling-No: Tedious, blood, gore, psychic, repetitive-circling the same facts & visions. 1 Star for overall and story 2 stars for performance

Arresting Desire-Yes: The main drawback was the reader/narrator-attempting an East Coast accent it was very distracting. 3.5 stars Overall & story 1 star performance

On Fire-YES, YES, YES! Absolutely loved this - wished it was longer, didn't want it to end. 5 Stars Overall & Story 3 Stars performance

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I'm going to rave about Sylvia Day's On Fire some more...the instant connection between Darcy & Jerod was amazing and the 'bedroom' dynamics were hot! The story was good as well.

Would you be willing to try another one of Chandra Skyye’s performances?

Probably not....she had a difficult time pronouncing common words-my favorite (sarcasm) was wanton as in woman pronounced like wonton as in Chinese soup (groan)!

Was Hot in Handcuffs worth the listening time?

Again; Arresting Desire & On Fire - yes.

The Unwilling no (for a romantic/erotic novel there was no intimacy until over 1/2 way through!)

A good way to sample new authors (although I'm already a Sylvia Day, Shayla Black fan) - I'm definitely not going to pursue anything by Shiloah Walker.These books contain adult themes and coarse language.

did not like narrator

she mispronounced common words..couldn't finish listening. Will not listen to books by this narrator. She ruins the experience ..
