Twenty years of secrets. One night of reckoning.

Criminal profiler Dr. Edith Ward thought returning to her hometown of Bain Island would offer a fresh start. Instead, she finds herself thrust into a nightmare when a series of brutal murders rocks the small community, eerily connected to a twenty-year-old cold case.

Teaming up with Sheriff Devon James, Edith must confront the ghosts of her past while racing to catch a killer. As she delves deeper into the investigation, Edith realizes the murders are hitting closer to home than she ever imagined. With her unique insight into the criminal mind, she becomes both the island's best hope and the killer's potential next target.

Balancing her role in the high-stakes investigation with the challenges of single motherhood and her own traumatic history, Edith finds herself pushed to the brink. Can she trust her instincts to unmask a murderer, or will her return to Bain Island be her undoing?

"Homecoming" is a riveting psychological thriller that explores the depths of human nature and the price of buried secrets. With its complex characters, atmospheric island setting, and heart-pounding suspense, this novel will keep you guessing until the final, shocking revelation.

The story was good, comma, however, it was ruined by a virtual voice. There is virtually no inflection, and some of the sentences are difficult to put together because the pauses are in the wrong places or the words are separated.

I do not like virtual voice

A great psychological, thriller and suspense, with an engaging plot and interesting characters.
The pace of the story is fast and not bogged down by dragged out storylines
I prefer the virtual voice to many narrators trying to imitate different voices or when it sounds like acting and not like someone reading a book. When I read a book, I don’t use different voices.

Great storyline.

I liked the story and the characters. But, I did not like the virtual reader. Human readers usually try to make voices for each individual character , which makes listening fuller

interesting book

The story itself is very standard. Quite predictable, no twists and turns or major surprise moments. Couldnt get a great feeling for the writing or how the characters interacted because of the bland virtual voice. Some mispronounced words, inflection in the wrong spots, and lack of any feeling at all which I have heard in some other books I've listened to.

Standard mystery but virtual voice ruins it

A1 would rather have a person reading with emotion. Too monotone for my liking. The book was good tho.
