Sweet collection of stories

Every visit to this town is a charming one. This collection of stories is set around holidays and the theme introduces you to some of the fun characters in this town. I enjoyed the historical data after the story telling about the origins of the holiday as well. If you don't have time for a long novel, these quick stories are a nice change.

Holiday Adventures

Join the townsfolk of Willow Valley for some holiday fun! A collection of six short stories about how the people of Willow Valley celebrated Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, April fools, Independence Day, Halloween and Christmas in the 1840's. I enjoyed the author notes giving the information about the origins of the holiday.
My favorite was the Christmas story and learning that America did not always celebrate Christmas.

I also have to mention that this is a clean christian book.

A lovely collection of stories

This is a lovely collection of short stories based on the theme of traditional holidays. There is a strong element of Christian values embedded in the tales. I have enjoyed all of the books in the Willow Valley series and it was really nice to visit the town again and enjoy some heartwarming stories. The author always adds a little bit of historical information for the reader as well which I love. Carolyn Kashner provides a consistently good performance.

Not just Christmas and new years

This book covers many holidays not just Christmas and new years. It was delightful to hear as well as a pleasant surprise. I got a copy from the author and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Holidays in Willow Valley is Book 4 in A Willow Valley Historical Romance by Linda Weaver Clarke. I really live this series. The audio books are all sweet, exciting, and romantic. I totally love holidays. I confess that I am one of those people who listen to Christmas music and movies all year....yes, I love Hallmark. I believe that Linda Weaver Clarke has written holiday stories that rival Hallmark. This collection of 6 holiday stories cover a year of romance. Carolyn Kashner is wonderful in her narration. Pour a cup of tea and enjoy a holiday escape.

Six holiday stories that take you back in time. Christian based and really good descriptions. Narrator did a good job of switching between characters.

Sweet, clean stories

These 6 short stories about the holidays in Willow Valley are entertaining. It was interesting to get a perspective of how the holidays were back in 1840. I loved this historical, clean romance. The narrator, Carolyn Kashner, did a fantastic job with all of the different characters and bringing them to life. Linda Weaver Clarke wrote a beautiful story. This book was the perfect escape from everyday stress.

The stories are lovely

I fell in love with most of the characters in ‘A Pleasant Rivalry’. Listening to the stories with the different holidays and the historical background and actually history of the cultural background was amazing! Some of the stories made me smile, some made me teary-eyed, while some were wrinkled my nose since they challenged some of my beliefs.
