Publisher's summary

She’s the last woman on earth I’d marry...again. Yet here I am. Saying my vows. Again. To save an alpaca.

At least, that’s my story. But the truth might be a little more complicated. I didn’t want to let her go the first time. But now I have a second chance to win over my wife.

We’re older. Wiser. And hornier. This time, I won’t fail.

Hitched is a red-hot enemies-to-lovers laugh-a-palooza featuring a girl in need of a marriage of convenience and a man in need of a cold shower to keep from falling for his fake wife. They say opposites attract, but with Blake and Hope, they also combust....

This audiobook includes the bonus novella Friends with Bang-i-fits by Lili Valente, narrated by Jason Clarke and Lili Valente.

I thought this was supposed to be a rom-com

This was not humorous, funny nor witty. I forced myself to get half way through and had to return it. I read the reviews, which I’m starting to believe are planted, because no way was this laugh out loud (or snicker in silence) funny. Can someone suggest a site that isn’t bought and paid for? Do not waste your money!

LILI & PIPPA’S WACKY WORLD = PURE COMEDY GOLD

This was a fun, light, sweet dual POV Rom Com with some drama, a dash of angst and a lot of one-sided rejecting of a romantic relationship between two people who’d already been there, done that.. and got the divorce papers to prove it. Hope needs to get married quickly and Blake is her last and only hope.. otherwise there’s no hope of Hope keeping her precious (and valuable) alpaca Chewbaca out of her greedy Cousin’s hands . However, the quirky crazy animal lover comes with parental ‘baggage’ which stops her seeing/acknowledging her new husband’s unflinching adoration.. and her energy fries electronics when she’s stressed too which adds to her problems. But slowly their friendship over the years + their sizzling chemistry + the hero’s selfless actions and unwavering commitment to help her + his loving family = true love.

Worth a credit? Yes, if you’re looking for an endearing book that’s not at all serious, that’s totally far fetched, that’s got a comical frolicking storyline, that’s based in small town Happy Cat, that has lol humorous scenes and a dash of steam.. then this fun fake marriage fiasco is surely going to steal your heart. Great narration too by Virginia and Jacob who brought all the crazy scenes and characters to life.

I made a tiny mistake

Yes I loved it but this was book 3 on the interconnected standalone book series of the happy cat characters, while it didn't take away from this hilarious enemies to lovers story I still robbed my self of the happy ending book 2 holds because this one have me a glimpse into the life of the 2 previous couples.

in end love it, recommend it, this was light and not over dramatic with loads of animal fun.

Hilarious all around!

I love fake marriage stories, but when it includes adorable pets with the most awesome names is even better! I’m so happy to return to Happy Cat and read the story of Hope and Blake! Hope, with all her “superpowers” and absolute love and care for her animals, and Blake set on showing her that family is not only blood but those who love, respect, and value you. A great book to read, laugh and love!

2nd chance romance and Chewpaca the Alpaca

Update: this book can be had for 1 credit in a 4 book Happy Cat collection by 12/26/21. If you are considering any of the books, then get the collection.

Original review:
This is one of four short rom-coms starring the four O’Dell brothers in quirky Happy Cat, GA. These books are full of animal hijinks, sex-toy jokes, and super silly, would never happen in real life conflicts based on the world’s stupidest criminals. Bought on sale, these are fun little cream puffs. All four have the same two dual narrators, which is mostly awesome because, hello, sassy Virginia Rose and sexy Jacob Morgan! But, it did feel like all four couples sounded the same. I loved the humor, liked the romance, and found the nooky to be quick and vanilla (not cozy, just “meh”).

Hosed: Ryan and Cassie: Sexy firefighter meets syrupy sweet virgin in a Lucille Ball style opening as Cassie tries to run her sister’s sex-toy shop. The arson that gets between them is eye-rolling. Thank goodness for the animal hilarity with raccoon George Cooney! ⭐️⭐️

Hammered: Jace and Olivia Moonbeam: Fun, campy good time between a reformed bad boy turned bar owner and an animal loving flower child. There’s mama drama, Llama drama, hedgehog hijinks. and ducking texts.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hitched (this book): Blake and Hope: The sex-toy bit fades but the animal hijinks doubles down as animal lover Hope needs to marry to save her rescues, particularly her Alpaca. The sparks at the beginning are way more fun than the HEA, but overall pretty good for a matinee listen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Humbugged: Clint and Noelle: Marine gets together with a baker by constantly rescuing her from bizarre emergencies. Whereas the first three couples interacted in each other’s books, Clint was mostly involved through texts and Noelle only enters the scene in this book, making this one feel a little “one of these books is not like the other.” Also, the F-bombs felt way more overdone here. ⭐️⭐️

Hysterical

Lili Valente and Pippa Grant join forces once again and produce romantic comedy gold!
In this latest book, we return to the silly and appropriately named town of Happy Cat to find love for two more of its residents. Blake and Hope have a long and complicated history with each other but all feelings will be put aside for the sake of saving an alpaca. But not just any alpaca, Chewpaca is a well sought after alpaca known for his impressive sperm. And if Hope can't find herself a husband quickly, Chewpaca and all of the other animals under Hope's care will be taken away. Leave it to Blake O'Dell to save the day and the animal sanctuary. Now he just has to keep his true feelings for Hope from ruining their marriage.
The narrators are simply perfection, bring all of the humor and love into these outrageous characters.

Love and chaos!

Blake and Hope’s second chance marriage of convenience has everything I enjoy in a great rom/com. Small town ambience, family dynamics, argumentative exes and a whole host of zany animals including an alpaca named Chewbaca. The hero and heroine have an acrimonious relationship on the surface but nothing could be further from the truth if only they could stop hiding their insecurities. Blake is a fixer at heart and he’s irresistible when he makes up his mind to win her back and Hope’s dysfunctional childhood explains why she keeps pushing him away. As in true Pippa Grant fashion this series made me chuckle out loud and touched my heart while I rooted for a happily ever after that didn’t disappoint. I loved the outstanding vocal performances of Virginia Rose and Jacob Morgan who made me feel like I was right there in Happy Cat with them and their lovable and chaotic menagerie.

Wild, weird and wonderful

What a rollercoaster story packed with emotion and fun about Hope and Blake's love in denial, eventually revealed by a marriage of convenience becoming real.
All the crazy population of Happy Cat and the Odell family with their weird and wonderful pets make this a 10 ⭐ story. The narrators did a fabulous job of bringing all the characters to life and I highly recommend this audiobook. ❤

Wonderful

Really enjoyed this, it helped keep me sane, listening on Audible, while I was planning classes and decorating my classroom. Embarrassing when people wander in even though the words are just in my ears not out for all to hear. Why do they always wander in at the sexy bits lol.

I do love Happy Cat, I'd love to visit there.

More.... love happy cat

I loved Blake and Hope's banter when I read it but listening to it has just made me fall more in love with the book. Their use of ridiculous nicknames had me laughing so much. Didn't realise it would be possible to love hitched more. A beautiful small town romance, with amazing animal side kicks.
