Nobody has ever heard of ODIN. ODIN is about as secret as a government agency can get. Because within ODIN there is General Operations, which speaks for itself; ODIN 5i, which deals with intelligence gathering; and then there is ODIN 1i, which deals in operations so sensitive not even the CIA can touch them. All three are run with an iron first by The Chief, a giant with a gigantic IQ. His top agent is Alex Mason. But when an ODIN 5i agent based at the US Embassy in Manila goes missing and his encrypted laptop disappears with him, the whole ODIN structure is put in peril.

Publisher's Summary
USA Today and Amazon number-one best-selling author.
One of the best new voices in the action thriller genre.
David Archer is back with a vengeance with his newest hero, Noah Wolf. After fans raved about his debut series, The Sam Prichard Novels, Archer now is about to back even harder. People are already throwing out names like Mitch Rapp and Alex Cross, but don't take my word for it. See what all the fuss is about before Archer becomes a household name!
After recovering from the shock of Neverland's recent attack, Noah and the team are sent back into the field to identify and eliminate a power player who uses his position as a legitimate arms dealer to manipulate terror groups and nations alike. Unfortunately, this means infiltrating the man's organization, and the only opening he's got is for an assassin of his own. Impersonating a recently eliminated assassin-for-hire, Noah makes his way through the ranks to the top leadership, but then comes the surprise. The Top Dog isn't who the government thought he was, and the truth will have repercussions that will rock the world.

Noah Wold: the killer without emotion!
The audio versions of novels by David Archer tend to be released 3 to 4 months after the Kindle versions, so I had the opportunity to read Hit for Hire several months before listening to it. The ebook version had multiple major editing issues not typical of David Archer's novels which brought my rating of it down to 3 stars for the Kindle version. This review is for the audible version.
Noah Wolf is a team leader working for Allison Peterson who heads and is sole decision maker for a secret US agency called E&E for Elimination and Eradication. Other US agencies who want specific people killed must submit their names to Allison Peterson who investigates and decides whether the elimination is warranted. If it is, she assigns one of her teams the task of getting the job done. Noah Wolf is the ideal team leader because he is very resourceful and he is totally unable to feel or express any emotion. Hit for Hire is the 4th novel in the Noah Wolf series. Action action, suspense and espionage junkies are guaranteed to love this series. Adam Verner's narration is always superb.
The 5th novel in this series titled Wolf's Bite was released in Kindle format last week. I am currently reading it.

A Silly Triller
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
A lesser mature thriller reader
Would you ever listen to anything by David Archer again?
Probably not
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes no problem ith the narrator
What character would you cut from Hit for Hire?
The three lesser characters esp. Sarah
Any additional comments?
For a mystery thriller story too predictable, no suprise ending, story had too many silly lines. Characters did not portray a true undercover spy persona not enough spy craft., such as all four always being together, too love sick of a couple always bringing attention to themselves, Just a book of obvious silly lines

Team Camelot looses one...
Ok, so this is called the forth book but if you a a prequel that is over five hours, I would call this the fifth book. Just had to get that off my head!
Anyway, this is another very good book in the Noah Wolf series. When one of the most ruthless assassins is captured and put in prison, Noah with the help of a few cosmetics (hair dye, colored contacts...) is set up to take his place and find out who hired him and who or what the significant target is.
All goes according to plan until the assassin escapes and Noah and his team are set up. Sadly one team member does not make it to the end of the book.
This is a good author and I enjoy all of his books, this series and the Sam Pritchard series. He uses a very family friendly vocabulary and I think that sometimes takes away from who these people are supposed to be. Not that every other word should be an f bomb, but for those offended by cursing these books have little to none.
Great storyline, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Fun story - if you can ignore the awful accents.
Everything you’d expect from the Noah Wolf series as it builds up steam - action, intrigue, spy craft, an incredibly clingy girlfriend who jeopardizes the mission.
Unfortunately, the narrator’s horrible attempts at foreign accents, particularly the British ones, were very distracting and made getting through the story quite a chore.

Another good story - accents frustrating
I love this series. sure, it's a but over the top at times and has mild misogyny, consistent albeit better than most books of this genre. the one thing that got me with this book more than the others before it is, the accents used by Adam Verner, the inconsistencies are frustrating to the ear... but I'm not good at accents either, so this is just mildly frustrating.

Not the best
The story itself was pretty good. My only fault with it Sarah. She is incredibly clingy and whiny during their assignment. I don’t know of any supervisor that would want that relationship to continue as it’s going. “Can you not go?” “Don’t do it, it’s dangerous “ etc. Tried to keep telling myself that none but Noah were professional soldiers but since they have been through the first 2 books that wasn’t washing it well.

Clunky & too many inconsistencies / editorial errors
I enjoyed the previous books in the series, but this is so slow, implausible and with too many editorial errors. For example, ‘4 characters flying to London together later that day’, but then mentions one of the group ‘...when he gets his flight to London tomorrow’, and describing team Camelot flying KLM to Europe...’when they landed in Brussels’... Prince Charles being anti-Muslim as a reason for assassination plot.
Narrator is annoying too. Good job Audible do a refund.
