Publisher's Summary

My indentured servitude is almost over and freedom is a heartbeat away!

Until some alien guy buys me because he needs a nanny, quick. What? I’m not even good with kids. I’ve never changed a diaper in my life. But the beings at the employment agency won’t listen. “Hew-mans are hot right now. Everyone wants a hew-man nanny”. Great. And since there isn’t another human available...I’m hired on the spot.

Yay, me.

And on day one of my new job I’m having a panic attack because I finally meet my new boss and he looks like Satan himself. No lie. Black horns, red skin, and glinting silver-tipped claws. He even has a barbed tail, a forked tongue, and he breathes fire. This guy is terrifying, and his children look exactly like him.

*heart palpitations* *hyperventilating*

And yet, as I’m caring for these strangely adorable infants and gazing longingly at my crazy-rich boss as he cradles his twin babies in his huge, muscular arms...my traitorous heart goes pitter-patter and my body heats up like lava.

Oh no.

And I begin to wonder - have I sold my soul to the devil?

Amazing new series with Incredible Narration

First off, the story: Incredible! I've read this book several times now, and each time I find more to like, more that makes me smile and giggle. I adore what a strong and loving personality Riley has. She makes the best of of any situation, and never expected to end up a nanny. But I loved how as soon as she set eyes on Aegir's twins, she began to fall in love, and very quickly became more Mom than nanny. And I found her initial reaction to Aegir hilarious! I found Aegir to be sexy, loyal, driven, and dedicated to his family. I really liked the contradiction of Hyrrokins looking like our idea of the devil and their highly honorable, loving, loyal natures. Aegir, from almost the very first moment, refers to Riley as "his human". Hilarious situations, a sexy single dad, a curvy and nurturing nanny, a sharing of cultures, and a wonderful but eccentric extended family make this a story not to be missed! I cannot wait to read the next in this series!
Second, the narration: This is soooo much better than what I imagined! I love that there are two narrators, one for Riley and one for Aegir. Their inflections are perfect, the emotions conveyed real and exciting. The humor so evident in the written word is very much present in the audiobook. I;m very much looking forward to hearing the author's next work produced as an audiobook as well!

Enjoyed the book but the audiobook made it so much

I've already read this book but wanted to try out the audio book. Glad I did! The narrators did a wonderful job and wow, the voicing for Aegir is really deep and wonderful. Wasn't what I had in mind but the moment I heard it, I was like, yup that's it! I know, I know, silly me, LOL. They both really brought the hero and heroine to life in this one. Also, I always get a kick out of the audios since I never really know if I am pronouncing all the "alien names" correctly. Glad I was mostly on point with this one though.

Riley is a human from New Earth - a descendants of those who have been abducted from Earth and aren't allowed to go back to the original Earth. She has finally come to the end of her working contract at her agency when there is a request for a human to be hired on as a nanny. She gets pulled into one last job but will she regret taking it on? Aegir is a Hyrrokin who just became a father of two and is in need of help. Humans are known to be great care takers so on the advice of his mother, he has found himself with a human nanny. One who happens to wake all his male sense and need. Will he be able to keep his hands off the hired help?

Michele Mills writes some of the most funny, sweet and sexy alien romances. If you haven't read/listened to any of her books, this is a great one to start with!

I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. These are my own thoughts and views. I really enjoyed this book but if you are easily offended by inter-species relationship, then this is not a book for you.

Not what I was hoping it would be

When reviewing the synopsis of the story I somehow got the thought that it would be comic and lighthearted. Otherwise, I would not have selected it because the story premise seemed a little tripe. It ended up being boring to me. I actually did not like Riley. She didn’t have any problem gossiping about her employer with the community moms and when Aegir explained about the importance of keeping his honor she still try to sabotage that. I did like the narrators.

Rehashed syrupy sweet tale

Insta-attraction, overly simplistic, syrupy sweet tale portraying humans, especially  ones who have "colorless" skin, as the best beings in the galaxy. Both of the main characters couldn't be more perfect including the full-figured female who's so desirable on that planet and the billionaire red, barbed-tale, forked-tongue being. It's absolutely amazing how quickly and easily she acclimated to beings she was initially terrified of. How could she be simultaneously terrified of him to the point of fainting at 1st and instantly attracted to him? Nonsense. And who wants a nanny who tells strangers about what goes on in their home? The story was significantly comprised of many of the usual, common romantic phrases. Lacks in originality greatly. There were practically no non-human practices and terms.
The author has 1 character who negatively and erroneously skews characteristics of folk with mental health issues unfortunately. Evilness, greed, self-centeredness, deceit in humans is quite normal, sadly, and certainly not sole indication of having a mental health issue. Calling someone mentally ill as synonymous with acting unkindly only adds to stigmatization of people facing mental health issues, helps perpetuate the view that they are dangerous and  thus, must be treated with violence, and contributes to negative outcomes for them. Ignorant, dangerous, and wrong.
There was 1 guy masturbation scene, numerous daydreams about sex, a few initiations of sex without complete details, and 1.5 full sex scenes.
I liked the myth behind "new earth". Good narration.

Wonderful New World to Explore!

Riley is done with dealing with this intergalactic service that is on par with indentured servitude. What was supposed to be 1 year of service morphed into 5. Now that Riley has been released from her contract she is getting the heck out of dodge. This is until a highly important Hyyrokin needs a “hu-man” nanny asap. She has no clue that she is heading toward a future that she never imagined!

I love this story! The narrators, Patrick Zeller and Lexi Maynard, did an amazing job bringing Michele Mills’ story to life. I would highly recommend listening to this story as the two narrators brought the characters to life beautifully. I went and bought book 2 before I was done with the first!

Delightful alien and human romance

The author and narrators are new to me and they gave me an audible book that I hated for it to end. This is an entertaining book that will immediately capture your attention and make you swoon, laugh and fall in love even if the aliens look like our idea of the devil. The twins are adorable. This is a love story for us full bodied women. The narrators were a joy to listen to as they have us visual effects of the entire story. I highly recommend this Audible book.

4 Stars!

I enjoyed this fun, sexy space romp! I thought the story was an interesting and unique spin on the nanny/boss trope – a human nanny for alien babies who has an instant connection with the babies’ dad. I liked getting to know the alien world and I thought the little bit of intrigue and drama with the babies’ biological mother was good. The narrators were good too! I especially liked Patrick Zeller’s growly, deep voice for Aegir.

A Whole New World

I enjoyed listening to this so much. The narrators did such an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. I could picture the planet and the characters as though I was there with them. The story itself is exciting and I loved discovering this whole new species and planet and world. It was fun and exciting. Some parts were repetitive but overall I enjoyed it! I can’t wait to see more of this series.

Entertaining.

Entertaining. The judgmental tone got to be too much, but otherwise a fun book. And the author totally forgot the servitude angle from the beginning of the story. The female narrator is not my favorite, but the male voice was totally owning his character, just making me smile more. Loved that.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. I love a good forbidden romance between a single father and the nanny. I hope the next book is about the brother. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Enjoyed this Tremendously!

This was a completely spontaneous listen but omg it turned out to be the cutest alien romance ever 😭 Single demon-looking alien dad with newborn twins hires the human heroine as his nanny and they fall in love!! They were TOO SWEET! I've never read anything by the author and it was a random pick. And wow, how surprised I was!! I think it was one of the most adorable books I've listen to in a long time. But not only that, it was also really hot and funny. Lovely characters, low on drama, a little bit of action and lots and lots of sweetness. I am ready for the next book that's about Chloe and Bergelmir! Overall it's a good story with a hot & heartwarming HEA would recommend.

Absolutely amazing

I have the ebook of this story and was really happy to find out that it was available in audiobook , i think the voice actors chosen for this were perfect lexi brings a lovely innocent quality to Riley that i really enjoyed and she did a great job with the other female voices aswell as i could always tell it was a new character talking, Patrick did a wonderful job voicing Agier , he gave a deep timber to his voice that really brought the character to life and in some parts it gave me chills, i hope this duo is lending their voice talents to the next story in the series as they are perfect for it.
