Another perfect book by Maggie Rawdon!

Listen I am a super fan of Maggie Rawdon at this point. Every thing she writes is perfection and feels so unique! The narrators were PHENOMENAL as well!!!

Second chance? Secret baby? Yes please!!!

This book was actually a wild ride. How the governor could still be up to his antics is beyond me. I knew at the end of Levi and Zephs book these two were gonna steal my heart! The way Bishop was willing to do anything and everything to make up for lost time with Aspen and Fallon…swoon. He really did know all the right things to say. This story had me gripping the seat for every moment. I was convinced the other shoe was gonna drop and when it didn’t I was relieved until when I least expected it….boom chaos. I love how this story unfolded. The suspense and romance was matched perfectly. I’m really sad the Stockton clans stories have come to an end but this was really a great series. Lucy rivers and Connor Crais were fantastic in this one. These two elevated this story flawlessly. I loved listening to both of them bring this story to life. It was absolutely perfect.

I absolutely loved High Water! Maggie Rawdon has a way of pulling you into a story from the very beginning, and this one had me hooked. It had the perfect mix of suspense, danger, and romance, with plenty of emotional moments that kept me invested in the characters.

And can we talk about the narration? Connor Crais and Lucy Rivers were fantastic. Their performances made the story even better, and the chemistry between the characters really came through. I found myself looking for excuses to keep listening "just one more chapter."

If you love a protective, morally gray cowboy, forced proximity, high-stakes situations, and a romance that keeps you emotionally invested, definitely give this one a listen. It was one of those audiobooks that I didn't want to end, and it's easily one of my favorites in The Quiet Horsemen series so far.

This story had a lot of potential

No matter how good the actual story is, the narrator can make or break the experience. The actor who voiced Bishop was fantastic but the actor who voiced Aspen completely missed the mark. Even when I reduced the speed of her voice, it still sounded like she was racing through, making it sound like she was unaffected. I also felt the author made Aspen unfairly put Bishop through the wringer, making it seem like she was the only one who suffered while they were apart. Their story had so much potential, but it just didn't do it for me.

TENSION-FILLED & SUSPENSEFUL

I fell in love with Bishop and Aspen's story when I read the book back in March. Could I love High Water more? Well, Connor Crais and Lucy Rivers made it happen! Connor and Lucy are two of my favorite narrators, and they did not disappoint. The way they breathed life into Bishop and Aspen made their story even more compelling.

Connor's inflections as Bishop yearned for Aspen, were gripping and brought the swoon. He did an exceptional job of bringing out every emotion. Lucy did a fantastic job of enhancing Aspen's uncertainties and the feistiness that had dulled, but was slowly springing back, and made drunk Aspen even more fun this second time around.

I definitely recommend that you give yourself the gift of this auditory experience.
