Twisted!

How twisted can it get! I loved every curve and corner! While working to figure out all the angles I got an exciting story! I really enjoyed the revival of characters from book 1 as it added another level to the story. I loved reconnecting with all the characters! That Sharp! Soo smart! His attitude? I enjoy his grumpiness and his straight forwardness. Walker stepped up a bit in this one taking more of a leader role. Narration is well done.

Enjoyed every minute.

A story line that captures the attention and read by Eric Conger who absolutely brought it to life.

Another great one

Entertaining. Love the characters. Love the crossover. Highly recommend. I find all his books well worth the listen/read. The narrator’s are wonderful.

Abrupt and unsatisfying ending

As always Milo is chowing down, Robin is French polishing, Blanche eats better than most humans, Moe stresses the limits of his clothes, Sean and Alicia are solid D’s, Rick shops, Alex is keeping it all together and John Rubinstein does a great job reading the story.

The Alex Delaware novels are predictable and comfortable; I know and like the characters and Patterson gives them an interesting crime to solve so I keep coming back.

In this particular novel I think the end was a bit abrupt, but getting there was quite enjoyable. I recommend with an *.

Another stellar book!

Let’s hear it for Team Sharp Pie & Walker!!! Just when you think you’ve heard the last of the heist master Danny Cole…after all he’s dead…Walker tracks him down in Tokyo and asks for his help in getting the maker of an epilepsy drug to lower the drug cost. Danny enlists the help of a couple of his former heist team to steal a one of a kind, $40mil watch. Meanwhile, in LA, Sharpe and Walker are on a string of auto & building arsons until a freeway is burned down. As always, the Team get the bad guys after some action, food…well, Detective Duncan WAS part of the fire task force…and dry humor. Looking forward to the next story.

Another great installment

Please keep the Eve/Duncan cameos coming. A great story with excellent narration. Can’t wait for the next one.

A Good Story

This was a good story with the same good characters and some laugh-out-loud moments. Maybe not quite as good as some of the others, but still enjoyable. I'm not crazy about the narrator for the audible version. He's not the most fluent and he mispronounces a few words. Still worth listening to though.

Sharpe & Walker #3

This is the third book in the Sharpe and Walker Arson Investigator series. They are once again joined by Detective Eve Rowan who has her own detective series.
Another Lee Goldberg hit.

I listened to the audio book. The narration was decent. I liked that Eve Ronin and Duncan were involved, even if it was toward the end of the book. I think the thing that stood out most for me was the different storylines and how they ended up coming together.

Waiting for these storylines to converge did get lost by the descriptions of the streets of LA and LA County. If you are from the area, I imagine it provided clarity. Not being from LA just made me feel clueless.

Walker steps right to the edge of being lawless. Sharpe is experienced but often stands back to see where Walker is going to take him. Walker and Eve are a matched pair. The character relationships are enough to make me recommend this book. Rating 3.5 stars.
