After Lincoln's assassination, Herndon did interviews with Lincoln's family and friends for this biography. Co-author Jesse Weik also conducted many original interviews. Narrator’s Lincoln voice was wonderful, especially since he was reading a second hand account of Lincoln’s words
The actual folksy vernacular of the time, and the small Illinois towns mentioned. I grew up very close to Tremont IL.
