Civil war rages, but more than one crown is up for grabs.

Nathan's preparations are being tested as all his enemies converge on him at once, including those he didn't know he had. To win, Nathan will need to step further along the path of a heretic. He has tamed a pair of demonic Messengers and learned forbidden magic, but his opponents grow in power and number with each victory. While he has the support of his loving Champions, will the world judge him as kindly?

All the while, complex schemes simmer elsewhere in the world. A beastkin obsessed with Nathan claims to be a prophet. Foreign nations meddle in the Empire and prepare to invade. And the unfathomable being behind the Messengers weaves chaos into everything.

Will victory come at an impossible cost? Or will Nathan finally break the loop of history and craft a new future?

Heretic Spellblade contains plenty of violence, undefined relationships, beast girls, and scenes that don’t fade to black.

This book has truly been a joy to listen to and a great addition to the series. The characters are varied and diverse. Stephanie Savannah has certainly done an excellent job narrating. This is a wonderful conclusion to a major arc with plenty left to happen. I can’t wait!

Excellent Book, Excellent Series

The book is a good next installment in this series and as such is well written with reasonable characters and personalities. K. D. Robertson has written a really engaging series here. The narration is right on point as always with Stephanie Savannah

Characters are Great.
Plot is great.
World mechanics intriguing.
XXX Scenes are l getting better.

Only con if any is the authors writing skill, just above average but even that is getting better.

I look forward to the rest of this series and what ever else the author writes.

Like the story, the author keeps getting better.

This sort of book is my guilty pleasure. Most of them are fairly mediocre, from a literary standpoint, but this series transcends that rule. Yes, there are naughty bits. Yes, it's a harem novel. More than that, though, is how deep the concepts and philosophies this world has been built on run. Everything about this series is damn near perfect, and the only thing I dislike is that now I have to wait for the next one.

Fantastic installment of an amazing series

From the moment you meet him, you are taught to hate him. He does the most despicable things under the sun, going as far as racist murder. You never see him NOT talking horrendous shit, and after 3 books of dealing with his bs, it finally looks like he might have something coming back to him... only for him to KILL one of the most likeable characters in the series... AND THEN GETS AWAY. That alone was already irritating, as the reader is taught to hate this character so deeply, and then after being forced to watch him kill one of the best characters, has to then watch him essentially get away with it for the "greater good".

But it doesn't end there, because even when we finally catch up to him, listen to him talk even more horrendous shit...

He gets slapped on the wrist.

Nathan could've at least beat the shit out of him first, broken a leg or arm, or do literally ANYTHING to make up for what this unbelievable monster has done and continues to do. He doesn't need to die; he just needs to pay in some tangible way, simply for the satisfaction of the reader if nothing else. Instead, we're given the MOST unsatisfying, unfulfilling end to Tarbin's threat. Unsatisfying is not even close to enough to describe the disappointment of that moment; its simply the only effective word I have right now.

I have no doubt that he'll get his later on in the series (I hope), and literally everything else about the book is top tier. Otherwise, that alone would've put me off.

Great book, but horrible way to deal with the most hated character in the series. At least rough him up a little bit before taking over his mind.
