Story
Meet Daisy Winters. She's an offbeat 16-year-old Floridian with mermaid-red hair; a part-time job at a bootleg Walmart, and a perfect older sister who's nearly engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland. Daisy has no desire to live in the spotlight, but relentless tabloid attention forces her to join Ellie at the relative seclusion of the castle across the pond. While the dashing young Miles has been appointed to teach Daisy the ropes of being regal, the prince's roguish younger brother kicks up scandal wherever he goes, and tries his best to take Daisy along for the ride.

Seventeen-year-old cynic Saoirse Clarke isn't looking for a relationship. But when she meets mischievous Ruby, that rule goes right out the window. Sort of. Because Ruby has a loophole in mind: a summer of all the best cliché movie montage dates, with a definite ending come fall - no broken hearts, no messy breakup. It would be the perfect plan, if they weren’t forgetting one thing about the Falling in Love Montage: when it's over, the characters have fallen in love...for real.

Story
Hannah's a witch, but not the kind you're thinking of. She's an Elemental with the power to control fire, earth, water, and air. But even though she lives in Salem, MA, her magic is a secret she has to keep to herself. So, Hannah spends most of her time avoiding her ex-girlfriend (and fellow Elemental Witch) Veronica, hanging out with her best friend, and working at the Fly by Night Cauldron selling candles and crystals to tourists, goths, and local Wiccans. Then evidence of dark magic begins to appear all over Salem, and Hannah's sure it's the work of a deadly Blood Witch.

The so-called scandal couldn't come at a worse time - threatening Emma's promotion and Jo's new movie. As the gossip spreads, it starts to affect all areas of their lives. Paparazzi are following them outside the office, coworkers are treating them differently, and a "source" is feeding information to the media. But their only comment is “no comment”.

When his mother became president, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius - his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, US/British relations take a turn for the worse. Heads of family, state, and other handlers devise a plan for damage control: staging a truce between the two rivals.

If there’s one thing Brooke Sullivan knows for sure is that people let you down, but that hasn’t stopped her from going after the life she wants. In a new city, with a new job and a new start as a high-end real estate agent, she’s finally back on her feet. The last thing she needs is a distraction. Not her volatile neighbors, not a damn stray cat, and certainly not the flaky, infuriatingly adorkable girl-next-door property stager she has to work with.

Seventeen is nothing like Codi Teller imagined. She’s never crashed a party, never stayed out too late. She’s never even been kissed. And it’s not just because she’s gay. It’s because she and her two best friends, Maritza and JaKory, spend more time in her basement watching Netflix than engaging with the outside world. So when Maritza and JaKory suggest crashing a party, Codi is highly skeptical. Those parties aren’t for kids like them. They’re for cool kids. Straight kids. But then, Codi stumbles upon one of those cool kids, Ricky, kissing another boy.

Regal romance abounds in this flirty, laugh-out-loud companion novel to Prince Charming, by New York Times best-selling author Rachel Hawkins.
Millie Quint is devastated when she discovers that her sort-of-best friend/sort-of-girlfriend has been kissing someone else. Heartbroken and ready for a change of pace, Millie decides to apply for scholarships to boarding schools...the farther from Houston the better.
Soon, Millie is accepted into one of the world's most exclusive schools, located in the rolling highlands of Scotland. Here, the country is dreamy and green; the school is covered in ivy, and the students think her American-ness is adorable.
The only problem: Mille's roommate Flora is a total princess.
She's also an actual princess. Of Scotland.
At first, the girls can't stand each other, but before Millie knows it, she has another sort-of-best-friend/sort-of-girlfriend. Princess Flora could be a new chapter in her love life, but Millie knows the chances of happily ever afters are slim...after all, real life isn't a fairy tale...or is it?

LOVE IT!!!!
Absolutely loved this book! Could not put it down. I wanted to keep listening to it but I either had to work or sleep. The characters had depth, the story was raw, and the performance was impeccable. Great story and great job all around!!! Would highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a beautiful lgbtq+ romance and feel-good book. It has all the emotions in it. Give it a listen or a read. You won’t regret it. If you love love, you’ll love this.

Quick listen
It felt like a lot happened in a short period of time. It is pretty unusual for a book with many characters to stand out and be recognized as individuals to me but this did that spectacularly. All the characters besides Jude felt like good genuine people, and that level of realism was greatly appreciated. The story didn't feel rushed. The characters weren't inconsistent and the pacing was quite fast. I was shocked in a good way at the intermediate level vocabulary / mature dialog. My Only real problem was the lack of build up or background on sacks and Perry's relationship.

This book is extremely cliche, but cute none the less. I really like that each of the characters had layers to them and weren’t just “the blonde one” or something as simplistic as that. I just wish it were longer, because my heart is melting.

Great Story but Insulting Accents from Narrator
I recommend you buy this book in paper or ebook format. The narrator's ham-fisted attempt at multiple Scottish Accents (weirdly the posh English accents were closer to Scottish) is so far off that all the Scottish characters sound like they look like Shrek and Fiona. She paints 'ugly' with her voice quite effectively but totally ruins the characters as a result as they're supposed to be beautiful young royals. Respect all Rachel Hawkins' hard work and put some effort in yourself and actually read the story. It's a great story beyond Karissa Vacker's insulting and wholly distracting attempt at Scottish accents.

A very cute romance!
Her Royal Highness was a very cute book. I love romances and I love Scotland, so put the two together and that's an amazing book for me. I loved the sapphic romance too: it was hate to love, which is one of my favourite tropes. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a sweet sapphic YA romance!
