Twists and turns

Great story, kept me guessing almost to the end . Very good performance with southern accent where needed.

Liked the Southern gothic atmosphere of this book and the storyline. Maybe a little predictable, but original enough to keep me interested.

Hawkins is a great writer! She makes it seem so effortless. Lots of twists and turns, and nothing is over-explained. Some mystery writing is so dumb, but not Hawkins. I love her stories.

Love the pacing of this story! Covering multiple timelines and flashbacks is challenging but this is so well done.
