Excellent story and character development

Again an excellent written and performed book by Mr Nuttall.
I like How this has a bit more “manly” perspective as our protagonist has a military background as opposed to Emily’s adventures that are a bit more scholarly/Hogwarts-setting to them.
This is a bit more dirty and gritty. And not as much focus on having magic which is a mainstay of Emily’s story, Elliot has to make his way as a Mundane/muggle. The series is a good read/listen (good performer) and if you like this genre of “being transported to another world” then you are in for a good time. Enjoy.
I failed to constrain myself and binged it in a couple of days… now I want more.
It will be interesting if Emily hears of Elliot or some of his “inventions” in future books. Could be an interesting meeting.

Wesley Crusher?

C, why the shade for Wesley Crusher? Are you trying to get Whil to narrate for you? Good luck prying him away from Scalzi.
Also, great book, keep up the good work.

cookie cutter characters

feel like all his female characters are weak with no hope but for the MC to come to save them, also his constant talking about how women have no power and have to rely on a man got tiring after the 23rd time

Great Start

Love how the author is bringing in characters and events from his Schooled in Magic series. Elliot and Emily MUST meet in one of the next books, oh the mayhem they could cause. LOL. If you are reading this and have not read Schooled in Magic series, go start it. The stuff the book references will make WAY WAY more sense.

Yet another Fantastic Tale

Christopher Nuttall has been turning out great stories for at least a decade. This is no expectation. a new slew of characters in a familiar world that makes us enjoy the development of the mundane world. if we could just get these books to audible quicker it could be a game changer. This is a riveting tale I just don't have the down time to read a print book.

I loved it. I'm not normally a fan of military stories. but learnt the none magic side of the nameless world. though I did find a few places he was less careful than Emily. I'm dying to find out more about the red eyes. can't wait for the next.

Fun alternate magic world twist with no magic for the main character.

Interesting twist. The main character is sucked into another world but doesn’t have magic. Fun to listen to. Great that this ex-soldier can find quick employment. Previous story character visits from our world. Unnecessary for this story but was a little distracting to know I was playing catch up.

Better than the 1st

Our MC is finally adapting to his new world, and finally has his own power base. Looking forward to the next book

War is never simple,glorious, or justified.

This book is a continuation of book one and well worth listening to or reading. Personally, I feel it is really worthwhile to read and listen at the same time.
Once again, narration is spot on.
Now waiting for book three.
