The novels are getting more and more far fetched. Triple murders in the same small town with the same characters is starting to get repetitive. The author is trying too hard. Keeping things simple would make for a better novel.

Worth a listen; I’ve heard better.

Another British whodunnit kept my attention, though there were parts where the plot slowed down and dragged a bit here and there. Author Carla Kovach brings forth an unusual murder mystery. Narrator Alison Campbell? Well, she did a proficient job. Worth a credit? I am happy to have gotten this one during an Audible sale at $3+. Perhaps it was me. As my editor, dear friend and mentor wisely told me in 1979, “If everyone liked the same things, the world would indeed be a boring one.” RIP Dan Di Leo

Finished in a day... I couldn't put it down!

Exciting story with a great narrator! This series always leaves me anticipating the next adventure for Gina Harte!

Oh, Gina! Tormented by years of domestic abuse and its aftermath still. She throws herself into her work and her relationship with her daughter seems to suffer. But she’s a tenacious detective and gets stuff done.

She and the team are called to a wedding reception where a bridesmaid has been murdered. Things get worse and we’re brought along on a race to find the killer(s?) before another friend can be harmed.

There are plenty of suspects and I was sure I had it figured out. Wrong! I love books like this.

I’m glad we get the old gang back on Gina’s team. Will Gina keep rejecting the obvious attraction between her and Briggs? The next book should reveal that.

I have read (listened to actually) all the Gina Harte series and each book is fantastic. Carla Kovach is one of my automatic pre-order authors. Narrator, Alison Campbell, does a great job.

I normally love this author, however the ending of this one was pretty disappointing. The killer is who? Exactly — you basically meet them in the last two chapters. Does not add much to Gina’s story so I would skip if I could do it again.
