Publisher's summary

Miss Eleanor Jones is forced to find work as a governess after her father’s death. Being the daughter of a vicar gives her a certain respectability, one that she uses to her advantage. Her new position comes with unavoidable issues. The biggest one? Her new charge’s wildly attractive uncle…. She does her best to keep her distance, but he’s making it difficult at every turn.

George St. Giles, the Duke of Cranbrook wants to marry. But he refuses to marry just anyone, and all the eligible ladies throwing themselves at him makes him wonder why he wants a wife. It gives him an idea for an alliance. One for men like him, and their heirs—a way to protect themselves. As he forms this new alliance he finds the one woman he could see making a life with. The problem: She finds reasons to avoid him at all costs.

George finds Eleanor beguiling, but can he win her heart?

Sweet Regency Romance

This is the second book in the Wayward Dukes' Alliance Series, a Regency Romance. I liked George and Eleanor's sweet, and passionate romance. Vicki-Jo Eva did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to more in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Eleanor and George

Eleanor’s father (recently deceased) was a vicar, which left Eleanor in dire financial straits. She gets a job as a governess to support herself. George is a Duke, and hiding away from marriage hunting girls and their mothers. To his delight, he finds he cannot get the governess out of his mind. The two have some steamy moments, and a HEA. Characters well developed. The narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook from BookSprout and am voluntarily leaving my review.

It's Alright

It's a complete story, if very very quick and rushed through all the development of the relationship and feelings. It's still quite good, but it's not particularly engaging for long term investment.

Great Addition to the Series

This second installment of the series was as entertaining as the first. The characters were endearing while the story line was engaging. Vicki-Jo Eva did a fantastic job of breathing life into the story and making this as fun to listen to as it was to read.

short read and short love story

This is a short read and what was shocking is that this is a whirlwind romance. The Duke suddenly married the governess. Luckily there was an epilogue.
This I thought was unsual from the author.I do like diversity, so I did enjoy this story even if it is a ver, very short love story.

George and Eleanor make a cute entertaining couple, but can this Wayward Duke and the governess find happily ever after? This is a quick and delightful love-at-first-sight story. Narration by Vicki-Jo Eva was well-done and enjoyable.
