A Light and Cozy Historical Romance

Duke of No Return is another charming addition to the cozy historical romance genre. I’ve always loved stories of the ton and that era, and this one captured that setting nicely. It’s an easy, enjoyable listen, with Charlie Albers delivering the narration with warmth and polish. Overall, a fun and relaxing read.

Duke of No Return!

This is a charming and heartwarming story about Lady Emily and Alexander, Duke of Hargate, They grew up together and once made a promise. She is to marry a most unsavory man, desperate she calls on Alexander, to honor his promise. He denies her but will he leave her at to marry the horrible man. This is a good story with danger, mystery, suspense, passion, love, truths and an insightful journey.

Frances and Johnathan

The twenty-third story in the Wayward Dukes' Alliance. Lady Frances Rowley and Johnathan Seton, Duke of Hargate her childhood friend's story. This is a series that once it is finished I want to go back and reread them all. This story is well written and I would say it is one of my favorites in this series. I enjoyed listening to Charlie Albers narrate their story.

Historical Victorian romance

Duke of No Return by Amanda Mariel is an excellent Victorian Regency romance. Charlie Albers did an excellent job with the narration. The story is entertaining, interesting, engaging, enjoyable and more. Frances and Johnathan may have been children-hood friends but that is all they are. Frances is forced to in the marriage to a cruel man she asked for help from her father but he wanted to money. So she turns to the only person that could help Johnathan. Find out what happens. Swoony Love Story!

This is a swoony love story where Francis' old friend, Jonathan, saves her from what would have been a disasterous marriage - at the alter stage!
Of course the inevitable happened and along the way their love for one another awakened and grew.
I loved the moments of caring and tenderness which both of them shared as they encountered a viscious enemy and his henchmen and how they finally reached their very satisfying happy ever after.
I listened to the audiobook version and this was delivered by Charlie Albers in a very satisfying narration.

consign to cruelty?

Can young love/friends last a lifetime? Frances finds herself engaged to a cruel man with money and power. She seek help from her father, but he refused to change his mind where money and power were concerned. She goes to her old friend, but he refuses. Will she be bound to a cruel mam. or will her old friend come through for her? This was an entertaining and exhilarating story I quickly became invested in. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life .

A Charming Slow-Burn Regency Romance

This book is part of the Regency Hearts Aflame series and also ties into the multi-author Wayward Dukes' Alliance collection. I really enjoyed Frances and Johnathan’s slow-burn romance — their journey is both entertaining and captivating. Charlie Albers brings these characters and their story to life with warmth and charm. She has a beautiful, engaging voice that suits the tone perfectly. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great audiobook

I really enjoyed listening to this novel it is a great book to own very well written the author did a great job with this novel I very much enjoyed this audiobook a lot.

Fun passionate story

I loved Frances and Johnathan's story. It was really passionate in my opinion. Johnathan was full of fire for Frances. She was strong and she knew what she wanted: not to be married to man her father had chosen. I loved the plot. It was really interesting. Everyone hopes to be rescued by the handsome roguish hero. I enjoyed Amanda's narrative. I liked the characters' thoughts, and I liked the romantic side of Johnathan. It was nice to read about. This was a great escape from reality.
I enjoyed Charlie Albers voice. It was nice. It was not overdone. It was in my mind perfect.
