Excellent conclusion to series

I have LOVED this series by Sophie Lark. The first, second, and last have been my favorites, although they all have been wonderful!! I have now read and listened to this book.

Seb and Yelena had a really great story. My heart went out to her. I got a bit angry at Seb. He showed strength though. Yelena showed us that she is a strong and decisive woman. A perfect match for who they are to become. The division within the families is heartbreaking. I have mixed feelings regarding Dante's actions. I don't want to give anything away so I'll stop there. There is the Russian's Winter Diamond that I'm curious about. Are they still looking for it? This is definitely a good standalone, but the depth is so much more by reading all the books. I've read them out of order and it works, but.... As a fan, seeing characters from previous books makes me squeal in delight! I loved how this ended. I cannot wait for the next series. Sophie's play list is great. Check it out as well! *I read this book through the Kindle Unlimited program.

Kat Auden and Michael Gallagher were amazing narrators. My absolute favorites of this series. (That's saying a lot since I really liked them all.) There was so much passion and emotion in the performances. I WILL be listening to this again. Actually, I'm wanting to start the series from the beginning and listen straight through!

what an ending!

love Sebastian in the earlier books and glad to get closure on his story! I listened to this book after book 1 and 2 and am definitely going to finish up with books 3, 4, and 5. love sophie lark's development of the story and characters. narration is excellent!

Dark Mafia Romance

Heavy Crown by Sophie Lark is a dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michael Gallagher and Kat Auden. This is the sixth and final book in the Brutal Birthright series and each book can be read as a stand-alone.

I absolutely love Sophie’s books! Shed did an amazing job wrapping up the series. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Sebastian and Yelena. I loved getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Michael and Kat did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you like mafia romances, dark romances, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

what an explosive series finale!

Oh My God!! Sophie Lark did not hold back with this book! I have not cried this hard with any other book in this series. I knew the beginning was too easy, too fabulous. I screamed, I RAGED at certain parts

I've been waiting on sweet Sebastian's story, hoping after all he's been through that his HEA would be sweet and simple. But noooooo, Sophie just had to slay me with all the feels and rip my heart out and make me hold my breath wondering what will happen next.

Yelena is the absolute perfect choice for him. My heart broke for her, and she rose to the challenge and earned her crown as queen of Sebastian's heart.

Loved loved loved the ending!!! Bring on the King Makers!

Kat and Michael were absolutely perfect as Yelena and Sebastian. Her accent is so good I had to check her other audios and see if she really had a Russian accent. Michael definitely had the voice of what I had imagined for Sebastian.

Heavy Crown is the 6th and final book in the Brutal Birthright series. This book is told from dual points of view by Sebastian and Yelena.

Sebastian and Yelena meet when Yelena is being attacked. He goes to help her. They exchange numbers. Once he figures out she's the daughter of a Bratva boss in Chicago he decides to forget about her. However, Yelena's father has other ideas and wants Yelena to get with Sebastian to get to their family mafia.

Sebastian bids on Yelena and ends updating her. He starts to fall for her, but Yelena is hiding a secret. When Yelena's father turns on Sebastian's family, Sebastian wants revenge.

Will Sebastian be able to forgive Yelena for her family's wrongdoings? Whose side will Yelena choose? Will Sebastian and Yelena get their happily ever after?
