Publisher's Summary

Originally published under the same title through Leta Blake's former pen name, Blake Moreno.

Heat can be sold, but love is earned.

In a world where omegas sell their heat for profit, Adrien is a university student in need of funding. With no family to fall back on, he reluctantly allows the university's matcher to offer his virgin heat for auction online. Anxious, but aware this is the reality of life for all omegas, Adrien hopes whoever wins his heat will be kind.

Heath - a wealthy, older alpha - is rocked by the young man's resemblance to his dead lover, Nathan. When Heath discovers Adrien is Nathan’s lost son from his first heat years before they met, he becomes obsessed with the idea of reclaiming a piece of Nathan.

Heath buys Adrien’s heat with only one motivation: to impregnate Adrien, claim the child, and move on. But their undeniable passion shocks him. Adrien doesn't know what to make of the handsome, mysterious stranger he's pledged his body to, but he’s soon swept away in the heat of the moment and surrenders to Heath entirely.

Once Adrien is pregnant, Heath secrets him away to his immense and secluded home. As the birth draws near, Heath grows to love Adrien for the man he is, not just for his connection to Nathan. Unaware of Heath's past with his omega parent and coming to depend on him heart and soul, Adrien begins to fall as well.

But as their love blossoms, Nathan's shadow looms. Can Heath keep his new love and the child they've made together once Adrien discovers his secrets?

Heat for Sale is a stand-alone m/m erotic romance by Leta Blake, writing as Blake Moreno. Infused with a du Maurier Rebecca-style secret, it features a well-realized omegaverse, an age gap, dominance and submission, heats, knotting, and scorching hot scenes.

Michael Dean is always a favorite!

I'm generally iffy about alpha/omega stories, but Leta's are on another level. This story was really good! Heath and Adrien are sweet together, even when they hardly know each other. There's an undeniable chemistry from the start and you can feel their love grow with every page. And I'm not usually a fan of stories where one of the characters is hiding something or lying by omission, but it really worked here. I highly recommend, especially if you're a fan of Leta's other books.

Michael Dean is one of my favorite narrators, so highly recommend whatever Michael has narrated!

SCORCHING HOT & FILTHY 🔥🔥

This was DIRTY!...

And I loved every filthy word of this erotic omegaverse story!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Honestly, this was a pornalicious delight that was well written (it's Leta Blake, after all). Thank the gods for proper, well-written smut! Michael Dean was AMAZING here! I'm so used to him doing fluffier stories, but he did this sex-filled omegaverse proud!

Cash starved omega puts his virginity, first heat, and breeding up for auction. Broken-hearted alpha bids on him because he realizes this beautiful omega is his dead lover's son.

Yeah, this is too good to miss. MPREG, knotting, slick, dirty talk, and lust....you just need this in your life. Trust me!

Good place to get your fix for something naughty

This was highly erotic and sometimes just super out there and weird with its plot. I really have a guilty pleasure with this kind of omegaverse world this author thinks up.

The omegaverse is very similar to the authors Heat trilogy series. But it's smaller scope though doesn't really flesh it out too much but it may be helpful to be somewhat familiar with that series to understand and get a feel for the world better.

This book particularly is mostly all about the naughty scenes. I really didn't get much from the relationships like some of her other work. I think maybe it just wasn't long enough to really deep dive and flesh out the characters slowly into their relationship. It somewhat jumped right in and didn't feel as natural or believable.

The characters wernt my favorite either. Again, I think this is mostly due to the short length, but I found them all the feel kinda hollow. This book is so small on scope too with the majority of the story taking place in one seemingly small area of a house, so it just doesn't give the characters a lot of space to move around and build up themselves.

The flaws in the relationship building though didn't deter me. I can suspend some disbelief and still enjoy some of the super weird Erotica plot and naughty scenes.

For a shorter book, it does the trick by giving you the fix you're looking for if you're trying to find a decent erotica.

Adrien and Heath

Adrien is an omega student finding that he’s running out of money to pay for his education. So with his first heat coming up he decides to auction it off so he can pay for the rest of his schooling. Heath is a rich and powerful alpha, still smarting from the death of an omega he gave his heart to many years ago. When he finds out about Adrien's auction, he is struck by the resemblance to his dead omega. This story was well written with suspense and anticipation. Michael Dean did a great job narrating this story. I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review.

Interesting omegaverse story

I liked the premise of this story and how heats were auctioned off to the highest bidder. It’s not a storyline I’ve heard of before and I found it quite intriguing. Another interesting twist was that the older alpha MC, Heath, originally purchased Adrian’s heat because he was the long lost son of his former lover, Nathan. What started off as a walk down memory lane for Heath turned into a true love story with real feelings developing between Heath and Adrian as well as a new baby in the mix as well. Overall, I enjoyed this listen and Michael Dean was excellent as always.

Michael Dean's performance is WONDERFUL as always!

In my humble opinion, Leta Blake is the queen of omegaverse. In 'Heat for Sale', we encounter another kind of alpha--one who has the capacity to love an omega for more than sex and offspring. In this particular males-only world, omega's have a right to sell their heat and to decide whether or not to bear young. They can decide whether to enter into a more traditional relationship with an alpha or grab the money and run when they've given birth, leaving their child in the care of the alpha. It's a world where the rich has all the advantage and the less wealthy must scramble to make do. It's a world where the omega can call the shots for financial gain. We meet omega Adrien, a university study who hopes his heat can earn him enough to finish his education and pay for his professorial certification. His heat is won at auction by Heath, the man who loved his omega father long after Adrien was born to a different alpha. Heath just wants a child--a living reminder of the omega lover who died years ago but finds himself falling in love with that omega's son. Leta Blake's world-building is meticulous, the character development is astounding, and the premise is absolutely astonishing! Michael Dean's narration is just perfect for this work. Wow, just wow!

Great performance

I was given a free audio copy from the author and the GRR arc team for review.

This was my first time reading omegaverse, my first time reading mpreg and my first time reading Leta Blake so this was very outside what I'm use to but I wanted to see what all the fuss is about and people are always recommending Leta Blake so figured this would be a good place to start.

I enjoyed Adrien's character but I wasn't really fond of Heath until later in the story. I get that he's an alpha but he was kind of a jerk too and I didn't like how he kept secrets even after he fell for his Omega. I didn't find it overly angsty even though there is some drama but it was definitely really steamy. The plot kept my interest from start to finish but it definitely wasn't a page turner. I enjoyed the fact that due to Adrien being a virgin with his first heat Heath had to explain everything to him and ultimately explained it to me so it's great for anything new to this genre. I really enjoyed how it ended. In the end I would maybe read mpreg again but I don't think I'd read Omegaverse again. Not overly fond of the hierarchy but if you are a fan than I would recommend Leta Blake. I thought that it was well written.

Michael Dean's narration is 5 stars. He gave a great performance with all the emotions and his voice is just so sexy. He's my favorite narrator and he really gave his all in this one.

Heat for Sale

Narration was typical.

Storyline was typical for a Leta Blake A/B/O universe.

Mostly enjoyed

I mostly enjoyed this story, and the narration by Michael Dean was fantastic.

I liked the story mostly, except that I really didn't enjoy the name-calling during sex. Maybe I'm alone, but being repeatedly called a slut during sex would not turn me on. I enjoyed the steamy scenes, but I would have liked to see more relationship development outside of the bedroom. It seems there wasn't much. (Adrien didn't even know Heath worked from home. I would have expected them to at least have lunches together or something.) So, while I enjoyed the story, I think Heath had a lot more sharing to do to fully win Adrien's trust. Maybe that happened between the last chapter and the epilogue. Simon and Lance were great characters, and it was nice that Adrien and Heath had such good friends to give them advice. Very interesting and unique alpha/omega/heat concepts. I would be interested in more if the author developed this into a series.

A bit of a dark romance!

Heath buys an omega’s heat, one that looks like his dead lover. This omega is sweet and smart but very naive. Heath is super Alpha and needs an heir. They click from the beginning but both afraid to tell the other their expectations. It’s a good story, with the drama of Nathan in the middle and some good for nothing siblings and good friends. Enjoyable listen! Mr Dean always makes the stories shine a bit more with his narration.

Interesting premise

I love seeing how different authors handle omegaverse/mpreg stories and the blurb for this one sounded intriguing. It more than delivered on my expectations. You know from the beginning, that there is going to be major devastation when Heath's secret comes out and there is. What I wanted to see was how the author would resolve it. What I did not expect, was the amount of character growth depicted in the story. Heath starts out thinking only of himself and what he wants but we follow him as he realizes he has fallen in love with Adrien, the man, not just some host for a child related to his dead love. Then we grieve with him as he knows what is going to happen. We also grieve for Adrien who expected very little, finds the love of his life and then has that joy ripped away. This is a mega angst book but the ending is worth it. Michael Dean had a really difficult job here. He had to run the gamut of emotions from incredible joy and love to the depths of despair, remorse and grief. He delivers a super performance that will rip you heart out in places.

So interesting!

I am fascinated by the omegaverse and I have been reading lately Leta Blake's version of it and It is incredible. I loved the ebook version of this book! The alpha/omega dynamic is captivating and the way that Heath and Adrien found each other in spite of everything is a reflect of the amazing world building skills of Ms Blake. Of course, a wonderful book needed a great voice actor, so Mr Dean was a great choice for the narration. He developed beautifully every single part of the emotional story, from the interesting characters to the sweet romance. Simply WOW!

Enjoyable story, the narration wasn't my favorite

Nothing new - omega goes into heat, there will be probably a pregnancy and a love story between the alpha and omega. Spiced with some dirty secrets and hot as hell heat sex.

I haven't enjoyed the audio as much as I wanted to. The story itself is enjoyable, but the audio/narrator didn't do it for me. I hate those 'screaming sex narration' scenes, some narrators really do it wrong for it to be enjoyable. I tried and listened to it on 1x (mostly listen on 3x +), but it was the same. It's like a pain in my brain, nothing sexy.

The book and the other heat-books by Leta was/is on my TBR and I wasn't disappointed with this book. I'm looking forward to read more. I love heat sex and omegaverse books.

MM Alpha Omega Mpreg romance, a great story. I binge listened to it as I was instantly hooked and felt invested in seeing how their relationship developed. Michael Dean did a brilliant job narrating as per usual.

An Instant Favorite

Heat for Sale is an erotic omegaverse with D/s elements set within an alternate reality. This is one of my favorite omegaverse books, both as a kindle book and as an audiobook, and I hope that one day this standalone book is expanded into a series. I would love more books set within this universe. However, as much as I love this book, it is definitely not for everyone – readers should read the sample and author blurb if they aren’t sure if this book is for them.

I found Heath and Aiden to be addictive characters – I just wanted to know more about them and I savored every moment they spent together in their unique romance. The intensity of their emotions led to some of the hottest sex scenes I’ve read, and it was only amplified by the entire gothic setting that was the backdrop for most of the book. The plot was simple, but so well written that even though I knew there would be a happy ending, I still felt some suspense and anticipation when the blow-up happened. The audiobook was well done and extremely enjoyable. I know that I will be reading and listening to this book again and again in the future.

Story was okay, but a little ew

First of all, Michael Dean was his typical amazing self the entire story.

I really enjoyed this overall, but there were parts that I just couldn't let go of. Like, when Heath first met Adrien and made him strip outside and kneel, and refer to him as sir. That wasn't about either of them, that was about Nathan. Just the entire Nathan-ness of all the scenes got to be so much for me that I wanted Adrien to run and never look back. Once again, overall I did enjoy the book, but it just got to be a lot when the truth finally came out.

Heat for Sale

Good mpreg a/o world listen. There was a lot of steam. It felt a bit like a fairytale retelling to me, which I enjoy. It's heavy steam, and I would've enjoyed a little more of them together just hanging out. It's still well done. I think Michael Dean did an excellent job of narrating.
