Amazing

I truly love the heroine in this one. She starts off as being the underdog, but completely commands everyone!

The Mafia Story that keeps on giving…..

This book has a great plot. Great narration. Katie is a woman on a mission. This story has everything you want … suspence, love triangle, and twist and turns. Leaving you with a cliffhanger! Now going to book 2.

Dark and dangerous

I recently purchased the audiobook for Heart of a Monster, and it’s safe to say that I’ll be grabbing book two just as well. Shain Rose has written an all-new mafia duet to capture every dark reader’s attention.

Book one in A New Reign Mafia duet is an enemies-to-lovers romance filled with violence and mayhem. Rome is the enforcer, a hardened man with a soft spot for the broken girl who has been dealt a bad hand. Katie may appear soft and kind at first hand but don’t be fooled, this woman is as headstrong and ferocious as her counterpart. It has taken years to act on their love. When secrets are unveiled and the truth comes to light, I’m not so sure love will be enough to keep them together.

I enjoyed listening to Heart of a Monster and realized my love for Marcio Catalano’s work grows with each narration I listen to. His distinct voice is seductive as the characters described in each book. This man’s talent shines bright and you can always expect him to deliver a high-caliber performance.

This was my first time listening to Joy Beharie and was amazed by her talent and skill. Her tone and emotions were on point every time.

I’m looking forward to hearing more from this duo. Now it’s time to grab the next installment, Love of a Queen.

Gripping my heart

So many emotions came out listening to this story. The narrators brought the book to life and I seriously can't download Love of a Queen fast enough.

It's worth a listen but won't be in your top 10

I enjoyed this story and didn't think twice to use credit on book 2.

The male narrator does a good job with the characters though he made Cade's voice sound immature. Since Corrupted Chaos was my first love of the series, that threw me off a little. I struggled to get used to the female narration. Her voice did not match the female lead's age and I had to listen on .85 to understand due to the lack of natural pauses.

The spice in this book is plenty, however, it does become redundant, I had expected more variety after reading Corrupted Chaos.

Overall a fun listen if you like Mafia Romances / darker themes.

Duet done right & elevated the storyline

The story was good, but the performance made the series. Mr. Catalano & Ms. Beharie are at the top of my list of favorite narrators. Shain Rose is an author I'd read anytime. Well worth the credit.

No plot, bratty and dumb female lead

I have never read a book with a less linkable lead female character. She's bratty, dumb, selfish and talks like gutter trash. There is very little character development for anyone.
There is no real story or plot anywhere to be found. sad that I wasted a credit on this. It was terrible and boring.

made her a black jezabel stereotype

the writer is a good writer. however she made the lead female a black jezabel stereotype. this is my book by this author. I bought this bwwm because it was written by a black woman and I expect her to write an black woman with a lot more nuance and complexity than what she did. I am extremely angry about this.
