love the story idea, but get so frustrated for the MC

I love the overall story line, but hate how the MC is treated. I don't think the author likes the main character all that much. even the supporting characters that are supposed to be supportive and help the Mc grow do it in such a bad way. both Malcom and Sean knew that she only knows how to live a life of solitude since she's hiding from something. but they expect her to have all these social skills and when they don't see the progress in the way they want it, they last out at her. especially Malcolm. the Mc always ends up compromising and accepting their point of view as if hers is never valid. the only ones the Mc stands up to are the enemies, so why wouldn't her opinions and decisions ever bevalid when it comes to people that 'care about her'. that's the only thing that makes me skip parts of the book. outside of that, the storyline is great and I love the plot lines!

Amazing

Normal I would review but I just want to get to the next book lol... These books are just amazing! The character development is better than 90% of the books I've read and I've read hundreds.

I could not stop listening

It's been a while since I haven't been able to stop an audiobook and go to sleep, such good writing and story arcs! Looking forward to the next books in the series.

Action Packed!

Alice has a lot going on. Her latest case, a discreet retrieval mission for illegal magical objects goes sideways, putting someone she cares about in serious jeopardy. Vampire Charles Vaughn is up to his old manipulative tricks, leveraging some much needed assistance against a play for Alice's affections. Werewolf boyfriend Sean is at his wit's end with Alice's save-the-world risky shenanigans, as well as trouble with his pack, and even Alice's ghostly BFF Malcom is getting sick of the fearless Mage PI putting her life on the line time and again. Add in a militant anti-sup killer with Alice in his crosshairs and the Murphy Cabal making a play for control of the city, and you'll be on the edge of your seat wondering how Alice can possibly get out of these entanglements in one piece.

This series just keeps getting better and better! Totally hooked!

Great series

After the last of this series, I hope there will be more Alizse worth books, the spy are simply great
