HEADCASE is a ten-episode comedy about neurotic rising hip hop star Ghost (Chris Redd) and his bumpy mental health journey as he navigates therapy, fame, and chaos. After a very public breakdown, his label forces him into sessions with a dorky, white therapist, Gordon (Will Stephen), who has never heard of Ghost. Meanwhile, his relentless manager, Laverne (Bresha Webb), fights to keep his career afloat while chasing her own industry ambitions. His ex-partner-turned-proud-snitch Mack Stacks (Joey Bada$$) is out of jail and out for revenge, and his grifter father (Roy Wood Jr.) is desperate for the spotlight. Is it even possible to just… rap?

A sharp satire of the hip hop industry—riffing on everything from the Drake/Kendrick feud to 6ix9ine snitching and more—HEADCASE skewers authenticity, masculinity, and "sanity" in modern music.

Funny!

This was a fun ride! I laughed the whole time! The cast was great and added so many personalities. Hopefully they make another one!

Silly & Funny

This was so silly and funny. I loved it, and would listen to more, they should keep it going. Ghost was so unserious it was funny. I was cracking up at my desk while I listened to it at work.

I love the narrators. The story was funny and silly. Just listen to it, wild story!

I really enjoyed the comedy, it was so funny. I look forward to sharing g it with some young people in my life as I imagine that they will enjoy the hip-hop premis.

This book is HILARIOUS!!!!! And the Music Drops are DOPE!!!! THIS BOOK DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! I definitely recommend!!!!

I enjoyed this. Definitely a lot of comedy going on and a lot of parodies, which were always enjoyable.. These guys brought it to life and I really appreciate the story. Definitely refreshing.

Thoroughly Entertained

I could not stop laughing. Well written, well acted, creative, powerful thought out characters. In the midst of all the jokes, there were an abundance of thought provoking moments, which I appreciated.

I love Chris Redd. I hope a second season comes out of this. It was funny from beginning to end, with some hints of self-care.. The song with his daddy definitely had me bursting into laughter every time it started! More of this, please! 😀

From a gangster who has spent the last 4 years in therapy I could relate to the way shit was in the beginning and how the walls were up and the mind was closed to (talking about my feelings) hell the only feeling I could relate to was anger and answered with violence.. damn shit done changed.
