Publisher's summary

I named myself. I took the word animal out of their mouths, wore it like a badge of honor, then shoved it down their throats. I've fought for what I have. I see you coming before you even know you want a piece of me. In a city riddled with warring families, I'll rise up between them. My people, the broken souls I gather, will have power by the time I'm done with them.

I protect mine.

Him. My brother, Nix.

Her. The girl that is the only home I've ever had. She knows me.

I'm coming at you, sweetness. Stay ready.

I loved every word!! (So much I had to go back and read book one again.)This story had me from word one! It delivered everything A great twisted romance should have, murder, betrayal, heart pumping action , tears and remorse, then a well won HEA!
Benjamin Charles gives a stellar performance (and moved to my top five sexy as hell book boyfriends!!
This writer has such an original story style I am looking forward to more from her!! And Benjamin of course!!
Totally worth credit or coin, just buy it you won’t be sorry!

Thoroughly Enjoyed!

Intriguing story. It's gritty, but in the best way.
Awesome narration - really, I'm about to search for my next book by narrator.
Romance is well developed. No insta-love ridiculousness.
Intimate scenes are gritty too, as they would need to be in a story like this, but hat's off to the author - they are well placed and not over done. They are written in the modern way with lots of frank details.

The first book was pretty good, this one is at least a shiny star better. The story is about the struggles and loyalties of kids who are truly on their own due to missing parents for one reason or another.

There is no cliffhanger but room for another addition in the series. hoping for that. Happy listening.

Beautifully Heartbreaking

What a journey! I think I’ve cried more through this than I have in the last few years. The story is well presented and you can’t help but feel love and compassion for the characters. I knew the story would end well, but getting there was rough. I can’t wait to discover what else Debra Anastasia has written. I highly recommend Havoc if you’re looking for a love story that’s not cliche.

Havoc YES!

5 STARS!! This book was the best. Animal and T to hear their story draws you in. Benjamin Charles did an awesome job and it was nice move to slide in Zachary Webber who voice I adore. I can listen to this again.

A story full of action!!

What made the experience of listening to Havoc the most enjoyable?

The audiobook experience was the best of Havoc. Rose Dioro & Benjamin Charles did a phenomenal job with their narrations. I loved the accent in Benjamin's performance, and his tone of voice was strong and dangerous, just like Animal. Rose's inflections were in point, showing a quiet but strong T in her voice, bringing the perfect contrast to her personality.
And the few chapters narrated by Zachary Webber were amazing. I never imagined getting Nix' POV in this book, it was a great surprise.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Havoc?

My fav scenes were the ones with a lot of action. T was a badass and the description in the book was pretty accurate: "A ballerina made of violence". I loved the description of the fights, they were stressful and full of action.

Any additional comments?

I loved how protective Animal was of the inner circle of people in his life: T, Nix, Becca, Nix' sister Ember and Merck. I loved his loyalty to all of them and how they were loyal to him as well. I loved the dangerous plot around this whole story and how all of them had a very important role in Havoc. But what I loved the most is how Nix and I overcome all their ugly pasts and became strong characters in the present, ready to kill and be killed to protect their loved ones.

All around great book 💗

Excellent story, and superb narration. It was the perfect follow up after Mercy. I love the relationship between all the characters, so much love and support. Family is everything and I love how they stick together. Animal is someone I would LOVE to know, and T is a total badass. Love them both. Didn’t want to stop listening and that’s how I know when a book can be called GREAT.

Animal & T

Animal and T have been friends since they were teens always there when they needed each other until T left . Animal really took T for granted until he lost her and realised what he had lost although I loved their HEA I really wanted T to make Animal grovel a bit she let him off far to easy.

Action & Steam & Feelings all with great narration

I knew I needed Animal’s story after listening to MERCY, and it was messy and feely and perfect. I loved that Animal wasn’t all in from the start. After getting the back story we feel T’s unrequited love and the pain of watching Animal with other women. But of course, there’s action on action with a little psychological stuff thrown in for good measure. After being wrenched apart he finally realises what he’s been missing but thinks it’s too little too late. T claws her way back to him and they get their HEA.

Rose was absolute perfection as T. She was youthful but had an inner strength born from living on the mean streets, and we get all of that from Rose’s performance. Benjamin was so great as Animal. The cocky alpha who knew just how delicious he was. Benjamin gives Animal that easy swagger. Zachary has a smaller part in this one but when he appears he makes it count, giving depth to this audiobook.

Another fantastic book full of action, inches upon inches of steam, and feelings that will pull on your heartstrings.

Absolutely brilliant.

With an amazing storyline, told to perfection by Debra Anastasia, Animal and T get their story told. and it is magic. Choc-a-bloc with passion, tension, sacrifice, devotion and love, there were times when I felt filled to the brim with the emotions it evoked. The narrators, Rose Dioro, Benjamin Charles (superb!) and Zachary Webber, bring nuance, passion, deep expressiveness and heart to a story that I will keep in my heart It's beautiful 😍 💖💖💖💖💖

Great story

Definitely read Mercy (the first in the series) before this one as although it focuses on different characters, it’s very much intertwined. I thought Mercy was an ok/good listen, but this one was better.

This book succeeded at getting me completely absorbed and invested. Great plot and good characters. I’ve listened to way over 1000 books now and I rarely give a 5 star rating.

I’m surprised I still stuck with the 5 star rating despite the numerous other women, graphic scenes with other women, and the heart wrenching hurt it causes the lead female (they’re not in a relationship at the time so it’s not cheating, just horribly and knowingly hurtful). Even how it all turns around doesn’t feel like penance has been paid. However, despite all that, I still felt like this book had me hooked and the great plot means I can overlook that. If you’re looking for a fluffy romance this book is NOT for you. Definitely a strong emotional connection, but lots of other action going on too.

I’d liken this book to the King series by T.M. Frazier, and it’s got elements of Colleen Hoover books too (both authors have books I’ve loved).

And Benjamin Charles as a narrator? Seriously sexy. The 5 star performance rating is for him. Just checked and it’s a big shame that he hasn’t got any other books on Audible at present. Rose Dioro was ok, not my favourite and she wasn’t great at male voices, but it didn’t detract from me enjoying the book too much.

Disappointing!

2.5 stars. The only thing which I loved about this story was the heroine T. I loved how strong and bad ass she was! This girl could seriously kick ass!! In my opinion, I felt she was way too good for Animal!! UGHHH!!! I wanted to seriously do some damage to him. I hated how he paraded his bedroom conquests right in front of T, despite her professing her love for him. The way he trampled all over her heart, especially given her sad childhood, was unforgivable. And I hated that he sleeps with T’s enemy Albany and we get a very detailed account of their bedroom antics!!! Just noooo!! Why would a reader want to read about the hero with another woman in such detail?!! And to top it all off, Animal only realised that he actually loves T when he thinks she has died!! Like whaaattt???!!!

The story itself was fast paced and action packed but I thought that it wasn’t romance driven at all. The flashbacks were also a little confusing for me as there isn’t any indication at the start of each chapter if we are in the past or present. The ending itself was very rushed and confusing. For example, T is captured by Albany and her actual escape is only explained as an after event. I actually stopped to check if I had accidentally skipped a chapter at this point as the jump from captivity to being released was so sudden. And then Albany is lured out of hiding via fake Facebook posts? It just seems like that was way too easy and the author couldn’t be bothered writing any more. I was quite underwhelmed by this story especially when I had such high expectations after reading MERCY. I am however looking forward to reading Ember’s story. Hopefully it will be better than this book.
