Great story brought to life!

I've read this book twice already, so when I heard it was coming out on Audible, I couldn't be more excited. I was blown away by the way the narrator brought already dynamic characters to life. She captured their essence perfectly. Can't wait for the sequel.

LOVED This

I just had the pleasure of finishing up a fantastic sapphic romance called Hat Trick. This audiobook, written by Ali Spooner & K.L. Gallagher, tells the heartwarming love story of two women, Janelle Leblanc, and Alex Hawthorne. And this one didn’t miss. Spooner and Gallagher hit the nail on the head with this. A perfect mixture of friends-to-lovers, sports romance, and a few others sprinkled in.

Both main characters were instantly likable, and I found hearing their backstories and personal journeys fascinating. However, Leblanc’s journey, in particular, really stood out for me. Her character’s growth, even as the love interest starts, is enough to fill an entire book (her career before coaching). And the new journey and challenge she faces coaching an NHL team really piqued my interest. Similarly, Alex’s background and journey were equally captivating. The realization that she was being pigeonholed by her boss and given all of the grunt work, even as a junior partner, was painful to watch but incredibly validating towards the end of the book. Along with coming to terms with an abusive ex that abused her so badly, she ended up in the hospital, along with all of the baggage that comes with that.

The bond the two women formed, starting with a friendship, was an absolute blast to watch blossom into a romance. Each woman was vulnerable in unexpected ways, and it was heartwarming to see them come together. While there wasn’t much angst, there were some “big topics” discussed about abuse, so I wanted to give a fair warning.

Overall, I found Hat Trick to be a delightful and engaging audiobook. The characters were lovable, and the story was captivating, leaving me smiling throughout the book. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who enjoys sapphic romance or is looking for a heartwarming and low-angst love story.

Very good book!

I enjoyed this book very much! The plot development was spot on. The two main characters were very good and had a lot of chemistry. The narrator was excellent as usual!

I absolutely love this book and the characters. I completely in thrall with the whole story. love the authors and the narrator.

Loved this book

I loved this book from start to finish. Both main characters were instantly likable, and they both navigated through the story and grew as a couple and also as individuals. I can’t imagine anyone being able to root against them through their individual journeys and of course their developing romance.
As a former hockey player and diehard fan, I appreciated the authors’ accuracy when it came to the hockey aspect of the book, and the couple of small discrepancies were very forgivable:)
I really didn’t want this story to end, although the happy ending was perfect *chef’s kiss*
I believe this was my first book by either of these authors, and I will certainly be looking for more books by either of them.

Great sports romance

I could go on and on about what I liked about this book. The name is fitting. The narration was hands down amazing. This book is a great romance story about overcoming obstacles paving ways and finding yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I loved Hat Trick. Yes. I had already read the book. But the audio is excellent. The cover of the book/audio starts the story. Very little angst. Lots of hockey. Great listen.

This was a very good book wished it had more sex scenes haha because the author was very good at it. Story line was great. Well done

Ali Spooner never disappoints and Hat Trick is no exception. First time author K.L.Gallagher shows that she has the potential to be a first rate lesfic author.
