New York Times best-selling author Kristen Proby returns to tales beyond the natural and normal with her brand-new, captivating paranormal romance series that is sure to capture your heart and make you believe in magic.

Returning to her beloved home of Salem after a trip away, Lucy Finch can’t shake the feeling of anxiety that suddenly plagues her. Nor can she shrug off her third eye’s urging that she has a mission she must undertake—a secret she must uncover.

As a green witch, Lucy has always felt strongest and the most at home in the forest, surrounded by nature. But when a disturbing dream wakes her and sends her fleeing into the woods, she isn’t prepared for what she finds. She expected her element. Perhaps a message from spirit. She didn’t expect to cross paths with a sexy-as-sin man straight out of a movie scene.

Jonas Morley isn’t like the other residents of Hallows End. He knows the town’s secrets, as well as Salem’s, and it has been his honor and duty to protect them for as long as he can remember. But the gorgeous witch who graces the town’s hidden border shakes him and makes him second-guess his directive. She calls to him like no other. But can he save his home and those under his care and still make her his? Or will their union mean danger and destruction for not only them but also those who live within the town’s borders?

Curses don’t discriminate, and the curse of the blood moon is the most determined and dangerous of all.

Hallows End is the first book in the Curse of the Blood Moon series.

To be honest, I’ve heard Sebastian York play so many dominant sex happy men, his voice threw me out if the plot when he spoke. Sorry, Sebastian!

Loved it but..

Love love love! The only bad thing about this book is that we have to wait a year for the next one! Well done!

Feeling some sort of witchy way for the spooky season? Kristen Proby always comes through for me.

Hallows End is the first book in The Curse of the Blood Moon series of 3 cousins who are witches in Salem. Lucy is cousin number 1 who has just returned to Salem and is our "plant lady" witch. Yes, I called her the plant lady because she is all about the earth and what the plants can do to help her and her powers. Her energy feeds off the plants and I just love that. I’m fact, she even owns an apothecary. How perfect is that?!

Since this book is set in Salem, we get all the witch vibes you want for the season and even a little bit of past history that I've come to expect when we talk about witches and Salem. But this story does not only take place in Salem, there is a crossover of Hallows End, a town that our hero comes from. Only twist, it's from over 300 years ago!
Jonas is Hallows End’s town warlock/medicine man. But he has the power to 'cross over' to the present. And in the present is where he meets Lucy. It's an insta love sort of feeling between them. And although I’m not a huge fan of instalove, their chemistry and what they had built on works for them.

This was the perfect book for the season and I love that Kristen Proby gives us these books each October. It wasn’t as scary as the previous paranormal books we got from Proby, but it was a great mixture of suspense, paranormal and romance along with family ties. Hallows End is a great beginning and I can't wait for more from the cousins and their love interests and how this book and the past will all tie in to each person to get to the final HEA.

And I can't leave a review about the audiobook without mentioning the performances of Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor. They were perfect as Jonas and Lucy and they brought this story alive.

Love this new witchy world

I enjoyed this so much! I love witchy books and all things magic as is, but I really enjoyed this book’s take on Salem lore. The time traveling element was pretty cool! The writing made it so easy to picture everything perfectly in my mind.

I love the cast of characters, especially Luciana (I’m partial to green witches). She and Jonas had such a sweet relationship. Soul mates / basically insta-love. It’s precious and I’ll be interested to see the cousins get their HEAs as well.

With this being book one of a new series, I appreciate that it didn’t end in a major cliffhanger. This piece to the story didn’t leave us with major plot holes, but sets it up nicely for the series to continue. I’m interested to go back and read the series that this is a spin-off of (Bayou Magic) which I didn’t realize until is already start this lol.

This was my first Kristen Proby book and I’m definitely excited to read more!
