Two very strong characters. Daphne and Anthony are one of the most angst ridden couples I ever come across in romantic stories. They each deserve happy endings, but they have been so wounded growing up that they cannot seem to trust in a love that is right in front of them.

This is a beautiful story. The characters are strong, determined, loving. I always love the story that brings the alpha male to his knees, because he loves a woman so much. If you love a good romance, then this is the book for you!

Very Well Done!
Anne Fossil brought the author's' story to life in a cohesive and smart way.. I loved that the steamy parts were balanced intricate and sensual.. Banter and interplay was laced with humor as well as fire.. I will be reading more from Guhrke.

Lovely story
The story, and the lead and supporting characters, were compelling and realistic.
My only problem was with the listening experience itself, with the performance by Anne Flosnik, The grating singsong quality of her voice — which was present even in her performance of the men’s voices — was very difficult to overlook as I pushed myself onward to listen. Flosnik will be placed in my ‘Meh’ category of narrators.
Unfortunate…but it won’t deter me from reading more Guhrke books. I’ll just be more discerning in choosing their narrators.
