Absolutely stunning.

This Audio covers all the important aspects of Greek mythology, it is very easy to understand, and you will then be really invested in the topic.

Great short summary of the Greek mythos

Overall it was great! Merged Hecate with Hera in Persephone's story and didn't mention any of the minor gods besides hestia and Dionysus where they play just as big if not more of a roll in most stories than the Olympians or titians. I would have adored the book of it did focus in a bit more on the deities (even minor) and culture in context. Most of what the book included was well researched and concise besides the mix up with Hecate.

Depth of information is quite good

You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the rich and varied world of early Greek literature thanks to this tidy little reference. It's not really entertaining because there's so lot crammed into a short CD, but the author has managed to make it simple and approachable. This is a fairly basic reference written by an expert on the subject, and it contains a generous bibliography of suggested audio and books for additional research

Love Greek mythology

I only knew Greek mythology from what I read or heard; I had never taken a formal course in it. Sincerely, before I randomly decided to start listening to this audio, I wasn't even curious about it. I now want to learn more and more by digging deeper. I particularly liked how Russo demonstrates the relationship between ancient myths that were produced by the human mind and contemporary civilization.

Greek mythology has always interested me, but I never gave it much thought. The structure of this audio is excellent; each of the gods, goddesses, etc., receives sufficient explanation, describing their unique characteristics and indicating which area of humanity they were most influential in. Really well done. This is comprehensive, makes a profound leap, and presents the idea in an engaging and illuminating way. It truly is a page-turner. Handling the Greek deities and goddesses is undoubtedly a daunting task, yet it is completed here with flair and attention to detail, providing much more than I had hoped.

This audio is excellent. It is VERY instructive, and I want to use it to help my community become more educated and spiritually strong. I appreciate you explaining this great pantheon in such a simple and direct way. I hope you have more audios or maybe books on this and other pantheons because it is really nicely written. I sincerely appreciate it.

The audiobook is organized so my son didn’t have a hard time listening to it and finding what he specifically needs for his research paper.

I originally purchased this book for a school project for my daughter. I had no idea going in, that I too would fall in love. The story is timeless and even as an adult, it held my attention that entire time! I have already listened to the entire book twice, but yet plan to buy the hard copy for my personal library.
