Publisher's Summary

Passion, money, and a deliciously devious twist: Greed is the newest novel in award-winning author Victoria Christopher Murray’s Seven Deadly Sins series - “the drama of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Booklist) - and soon to be a Lifetime movie.

Thirty-four-year-old Zuri Maxwell has a decent life: Richard, her long-term boyfriend, treats her well, and her career as an advertising sales rep is going just fine. But the commission-based nature of her income makes her wish Richard were more ambitious in his role as maintenance supervisor of an upscale apartment building, and she longs for the chance to be a little more spontaneous with their hard-earned money.

When Zuri has a chance encounter with a sleek entrepreneur eager to pick her brain about the advertising world, she jumps at the chance to talk business with someone who seems to have everything she wants. He wines and dines her, and because they never cross the line into a physical relationship, Zuri’s conscience remains clear - mostly.

As Zuri grows more and more accustomed to lavish gifts and red-carpet events, will her unglamorous romance with Richard still be enough for her? Will she give up the stable, loving life she knows for an uncertain future on a wealthy man’s arm?

PHENOMENAL

I truly loved this book.. although I was saddened that Zuri ultimately lost Stephon in the end. I oftentime found myself screaming "really Zuri..????". In a general sense, one may not have looked at her desires to want better things in life as greed, but when you look at her wants, put together with how her acceptance of the gifts, attention, etc caused her to neglect her loved ones.,I began to see how GREED was the root.

VCM does it again

This is a good story. Not one of my favorite deadly sins books but it is very deep and meaningful. It shows how easy it is to get off track and it was like a train wreck waiting to happen.

Twist

The twist at the end makes the whole story five star worthy. Good job, Victoria!

The grass ain’t always greener

When I think of Zuri, the “grass is greener” cliché is what comes to mind. She wants a taste of the “good life” but doesn’t realize there’s always a cost. And it was one she ultimately couldn’t afford. I could empathize with Zuri to a certain degree. I didn’t think it was wrong for her to want certain things in life. We all do. But the way she went about it was how she lost me. I started to figure out the twist early on but it didn’t take away from the story for me because I had to know if my assumptions were correct. I loved the narrator. She did a great job of bringing the story to life. Even though I enjoyed it, this wasn’t my favorite in the series thus far. Envy, the second book still holds the number one place for me. I’m looking forward to the Lifetime TV movies and the next book in the Seven Deadly Sins series.

GREAT READ!!!

It started off little slow but they way the story developed was really good! As many times as I wanted to smack Zuri you see just how GREED and "just one more surprised" gets you! The twisted truths always come full circle!
I loved the narrator and loved the previous two books!
