No cumplió mis expectativas
Creo que yo llegué con muchas expectativas a este libro. Me decepcionó bastante.
- Es demasiado enfocado en una familia americana de clase media. Familias de cualquier otro contexto difícilmente se verán identificadas.
- Se descuida mucho las etapas tempranas, de 0 a 3 años.
- Hacia el final del libro se habla bastante extendido sobre el diseño y el pensamiento de diseño, lo cual está súper bien, pero poco se habló de “qué es la creatividad” y “cómo se fomenta”, lo cual es exactamente el título del libro. El mismo capítulo del diseño lo dice, no es “entregar soluciones al problema” sino “entender el problema desvinculado de los objetos”, y aquí hay muchos consejos y métodos para fomentar la creatividad y la curiosidad pero en realidad no se habla de por qué esos métodos logran ese cometido.
- Tampoco hay una división clara de los rangos de edades. En el camino del desarrollo de los niños las necesidades y habilidades son muy diferentes y los métodos acá descritos parece que se pudieran aplicar a todos por igual.
En general, si eres una persona dedicada a la pedagogía, este libro creo que no aportará mucho. Si al contrario eres profesional de cualquier otra rama, podrás encontrar cosas valiosas en este libro.
