Publisher's Summary

At the core of Christianity is belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But how should the Gospel affect our lives after we believe? And how can we speak Gospel truths into everyday issues of life? In this book, experienced pastor and speaker Jeff Vanderstelt shows how all people - Christians and non-Christians alike - need to hear the Gospel on a regular basis. Teaching believers what it looks like to become truly "fluent" in the Gospel so that it becomes a natural part of our everyday conversations, Vanderstelt shows how the good news of Jesus is our only hope for every aspect of our lives.

Best training on sharing the Good News

Gospel fluency is the lost key for evangelism in the church today. Christians give people lots of advice and kind acts, but we don't give people Jesus, who is the love and power of God for salvation and sanctification. Gospel fluency shows us how to incorporate the Good News of Jesus into the everyday stuff of life.

Applicable, accurate, and challenging

Using scripture throughout, the author outlines, albeit slowly, the idea of gospel fluency. The real life examples are the most compelling, and I found myself in tears more than once as I felt the truth in what I heard. Test for yourself, pray for truth and wisdom, and see what you take away.

A Must Read!

Gospel Fluency is a must read for every believer! Jesus redeemed us, but he also wants to sanctify us. Sanctification happens as we become fluent in the truths of the gospel. We become fluent in the truths of the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit and by immersing ourselves in gospel centered community. This book will be a great introduction and help for those that do not yet have it. It will also be a great encouragement for those of us that do. Gospel Fluency class is now in session!

Everyone in your church should read.

This is a great companion to Saturate. I highly recommend. Saturate is captivating with its stories, while this is convicting with it's great analogies. Read them both.

I am thinking about and talking about Jesus more and more now.

Change the way you see the world

Vanderstelt does a great job of articulating our need as Christians to experience the gospel in our daily life. Or struggle is to translate that into the way we talk about what Jesus has done for us.

My favorite element of this book is the constant reminder that all the good we have in our lives is because of Jesus. A moral instruction without Jesus cannot save our friends. We have been changed not because we are good but because Jesus is good.

This book and his other one (Saturate) have literally changed the way I parent my children. No longer do I seek to simply correct for the sake of good behavior. While I still love, discipline and correct, it is through the lens of what Jesus did for me/them and what He continues to do for me/them.

Vanderstelt reads well - his story comes alive and his winsome way makes this an easy listen.

Five stars!

Genius. "Fluency" is a universal truth!

Genius. Everyone will agree that fluency is the byproduct of study, practice, and consistent immersion. What a beautiful picture of how believers are to live.

Excellent Book on Sharing the Gospel Naturally

Have you ever wished you could more naturally bring up the gospel in conversation with someone? Have you ever tried to explain it simple terms that an unbeliever could understand? Jeff Vanderstelt does an incredible job of making evangelism simple yet timely. He warns against the danger of thinking we can merely "live Jesus" before others and not ever talk about Him. He also demonstrates that evangelism is a matter of speaking the truth about Jesus with love and compassion. We aren't called to beat people over the head with our Bibles; rather, we are called to both show Jesus and speak about Jesus in every divine appointment we are granted. This is one I will listen to again and again!
