Publisher's Summary

I've had feedback from students that they just want me to read them drug names and mnemonics so they can put in their earbuds before they go to bed before their board exams. I've got three five year olds, I don't have time to do the heavy lifting you all do as narrators. In Memorizing Pharmacology: A Relaxed Approach, which will sell over 6,500 audiobook copies in its first year, I only had the narrator complete 200 drug names in a seven hour book. There is a list of 350 later in the book, but I thought, who in the world would want to listen to 350 drug names in a row? So I omitted it. There was an answer to that rhetorical question, health professional students studying for a board exam that are exhausted from family, work, and school want to listen to it.

Excellent!

Excellent ressource to help us memorize the meds.
I m a nursing student and I also own his other books of Mr Guerra, the best investment I have made, cause I dont wanna be a charge but a ressource of information on thr floor.
I would have prefered another reader's voice but still what I care is the content and the pedagogy of Mr Guerra.

Great learning tool

excellent narration. great supplement to pharmacology. This would help with comprehension of medications and give you a head start on learning the foreign language of pharmacology.

Best way to retain the drug names!!

A fantastic way to remember the crazy drug names...some stories are entertaining and some clever enough that you will ALWAYS remember brand/generic names. No better way to remember quickly and efficiently. Why struggle if you can just have this lol.

Excellent etymologies and mnemonic devices!

Author's voice is pleasant and agreeable. I learned a lot and found great shortcuts for the rest. I'm sending this book to all my nursing friends. Highly recommend!

British narrator :(

First let me say this book was almost exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been a nurse a while but have always worked in a GI unit. After many years I’ve forgotten much of my Pharm from nursing school and want to move around in the hospital a bit. I wanted to get a refresher on common meds overall not just my speciality. I had trouble with the British accent in this book. It was a bit fast paced too for trying to absorb the info. I tried several other books but this was the best for what I wanted. Other than the accent, it was just what I was looking for.

A Must Have Pharmacy Companion

I am not the type that does well with pure memorization. I have always needed a reason or some way to make sense of things. This book has been my holy grail of top drugs in pharmacy school! I listen to it on my phone or Alexa devices while I run errands, do chores around the house, and before I go to bed. It is easy to listen to and does not take time away from my studies. It is an absolute must-have!

Good Addition to Class Resources

This text was a great resource that helped me to learn difficult drugs, both generic and brand name. I plan to use this again to help me prepare for my pharmacology final and whenever I need clarification on certain drugs. Very helpful and I'm glad I added it to my collection.
