Publisher's Summary

Virginia Constance Kramer is a good girl. Until she meets the man that makes her want to be bad....

He’s got a record; she’s never been so much as grounded.

His old man is a convict; her dad is the police sergeant.

He’s seen too much darkness; she can barely see out of the stained-glass curtain the world wants her to hide behind.

She’s willing to fight her parents, the town, and the whole world if she has to, but first she has to get past the wall Joe Franklin has built around his heart. He thinks she’s too good, too sweet, too pure for a man like him.

She thinks being good is overrated.

Author confession: This is a slower burn romance than you might be used to from me, but I promise Virginia and Joe are supercouple material. It’s the classic opposites attract, good girl/bad boy, other side of the tracks, her first time tropey goodness you need in your life. You know how sometimes it feels like nobody sees the real you? Well Joe really sees Ginny. He may be rough on the exterior, but he’s the only one who understands how much pain she’s in as her family grieves the death of her little sister. Watch him grow into an alphamallow right before your eyes.

Great Book

This is a great slow burn romance by Brill Harper since her books are usually a fast burn. Good girl, Virginia meets bad boy Joe who thinks she is too good for him. A lot happens in Ginny’s young life that just adds to it. They are total opposites but you will fall in love with Joe.

Raven's narration brought the book to life. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Blown Away and Surprised at how GOOD it is!

First listen to both this author and narrator. I just love when I’m taken by surprise by how much I enjoy a new to me author and/or voice artist. First let me say that the characters were soooo likable that I just wanted to smoosh them together. The info on secondaries was slim and their backgrounds almost non existent so it could have been better by enhancing both, but, geez... I still loved it!
Raven did an awesome superb job. Only complaint was occasional monotone deliveries.

I was gifted this audiobook and have freely left my honest opinion.

👍🏻 Thumb Up cuz I ❤️ it!

Good Book!

Slow burn Romance with a HEA! This was a good story. Really enjoyed it! Even though it’s a slow burn-
It didn’t drag the story line down at all. It had a great pace to it!

More emotion

Not your typical Brill Harper Book. Definitely more emotion and plot. I really enjoyed it.

Great, quick listen!

I loved this story! The classic good girl falls for bad boy romance. I loved the character development. I ended up really liking the bad boy by the end as well and loved how despite being bad, he was actually a very deep and caring guy. The narrator was very enjoyable as well! Great Read

Good Girl was a great read by Brill Harper. Virginia is a good girl who meets the bad boy. He has a record and her dad's the police sergeant. Joe tries pushing her away but she doesn't allow him to. I loved reading Virginia and Joe's story and can't wait to read more by the author.

Young adult slow build romance

It took a bit to get there but she did! This is a great story that takes a bit to get burning but once it does I couldn't put it down. Good girl + bad boy + cop daddy = hot!

Bad Boy + Good Girl = Excellent Romance!

This is definitely a slow burn romance but so worth your time. It is slow in the beginning but you'll find that you don't mind it at all. I enjoyed learning about both main characters. All their joys, heartaches, loss and gains. It made chuckle, cry, roll my eyes and want to give them both big hugs. Make sure you have a tissue or two handy. Joe is a bad boy with a guarded heart and Virginia is a good girl testing her boundaries. They really are wonderful to get to know throughout the book, watching both of them grow into their own. Simply lovely. The narration was well done. My only criticism is that there should be a bit more distinction between the male and female voices, not that you can't tell them apart but maybe a little more separation would be nice. Overall, a wonderfully slow burning romance that will sweep you away until the end.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. Make sure to keep tissues handy! The narrator did a great job as well- I’ll definitely be listening to more of her work.

Great young adult novel on a mature level

I have read a lot of young adult novels and they usually all follow the same path. This novel was different for me in the sense that the characters had a higher level of maturity. It is slow paced but tension building . Full of emotion and sadness and about 2 people who are both broken helping one another ti make sense of the world . Opposites attracting for all the right reasons. Recommend that you have some tissues at the ready and to just get lost in the storyline. I was given this book by the author/narrator in return for an honest and unbiased review
