Imagery

Dean Koontz is definitely an award-winning writer. He totally deserves any awards he gets. His books are always awesome and always keep me enthralled throughout the entire story. This one was a little different, but still great. We love you, Dean.

Not one of his best stories

I don’t want to spoil any of the story because some people will enjoy it and I like pretty much everything thing he writes. As always he builds good characters in this story and keeps you wondering what will happen next.

The great love and devotion of these friends is wonderful.

I enjoyed this book. I don't get the negative reviews. Mr. Koontz always surprises me with his outlook on life and love.

It's a fun trip into Kontz Land

Slick humor. Scary things. Freaky small town. Is it a good community, or are the neighbors you've known for decades bat shit crazy?

Great narrratiation

I have become a nudist and an avid swinger! I listened to the entire book while totally nude!

A different kind of story

The story was more fantastical than serious. The characters were well written. This is not the “normal” type of DK book. The actor’s voice was mellow and soothing. It worked in this story.

Love Koontz

I hate when a book goes from a great story to cutting away at the end of a chapter to where I feel like I'm sitting in on a lecture. Keep the focus on the story. Still its a great book but Koontz also did this in the bad weather friend.

Characters were comical and I found myself laughing at their dialog.

It was ok. In my opinion, the story was silly. Too far fetched with no believability. Similarly shadowing segments of Stephen King’s, “IT.” Unfortunately, the last few books I have read from Koontz have not been what I’m familiar with from the author (early books from Mr. Koontz), and have been less than expected.

Disappointed

Was looking for something like his older writings. This one was just a little too silly. Maybe it was intended for youth? Koontz has always been my favorite.

Unfortunately didn’t like this one

Weird story, had me zoning out while trying to listen to it and not a fan of the narrator. I Love Koontz previous books though!
