Doing marriage God's Way

I read this book before I married over 30 years ago and would highly recommend it to any new couple. It is one of the best pre-marriage books available for believers.

A wonderful refreshing teaching on marriage.

Often books on marriage have the same or similar teachings. This man of God shares his experiences regarding his marriages through his personal relationship with Jesus. There is a depth here and a maturity in this book that I have been wanting to find. It was wonderful to me. Marriage is not for your personal selfish gain. Successful marriage requires serving and sacrifice that yield great blessing.

Meaningful, well read, a real blessing.

I recommend it for anyone, male or female age 15 and older. Will save heartache.

God is a Matchmaker

I grew up in a polygamy environment. I never saw myself being married or cared about marriages even though I am always happy to see couples marry. At about age 32 about September 2018 I started having desires for a husband. In 2016 a pastor anointed my married finger, to my surprise I wondered where this was coming from because I was not dating or had anyone in mind to whom I would marry. I have to say looking back that God already has things in place for all of us.In December of 2018 my sister gave me a ring to put on my married finger saying the Lord told her to give it to me. She said pray and exercise your faith in God. My church now has a fellowship group referred to as Life Group, Life Group features a group of christian persons coming together to fellowship once per week about a particular topic. I signed up and the theme for our group is God is a Matchmaker. I do believe that this is Gods plan for me. This book has opened up my mind so much, it is biblical and the things outlined are drawn from bible scriptures. I am wowed when I see how God has our life laid out for us all we need to do is walk accordingly.

I haven't heard a teaching like this since my walk with Christ. I love it! The teaching is very helpful. I have learned something, I can say that much. A great buy, for anyone who is wondering or thinking about marriage and why it hasn't happen yet. Great book!!!!

A Fantastic Read!

This book truly helped to open my eyes and see the idea of marriage in a whole new way. I very much appreciate the way in which Derek and Ruth collaborated to put this book together. Review of God is a Match Maker

If you're like me, married once and having a series of relationships that crashed and burned, but you love and trust God, this book provides hope by illustrating an effective, biblical path to marriage based on trusting God with who your future spouse will be.
Using personal anecdotes along with testimonies, the Prince's walk us through the steps to letting go and letting God be the ultimate matchmaker with a solid scriptural basis. Personally, I am deeply grateful to finally have a plan of action for personal development while learning to wait patiently for the spouse God is preparing for me. After all, if I don't learn to trust God now it could cause tremendous pain to those I care about because of a lack of dependence on God. I'm sure this book will save most single Christians years of pain and frustration in trying to control something that God will gladly handle if we only let Him. Since Derek points out that God gives His best to those who leave the choice to Him, what do we have to lose?

Insightful

This is the first Real Christian book on how to become and chose a spouse that I have ever read. It is such an awesome book and also contains insights on marriage from God's perspective and His word. I initially bought it in error but after listening to it I am persuaded it was a divine set up.

A fantastic insight into Christian matchmaking

Derek & Ruth Prince never fails to deliver biblical reference and personal testimony. His teachings are clear and concise and the reverence of the word of God through Jesus Christ and prevelant and a blessing to hear.
