Publisher's summary

Avery Weston is doing fine.

Sure, she’s not doing as fine as her ex - award-winning actress and current television it girl Elise Hayes - but Avery enjoys her work as a federal air marshal and also enjoys almost being over Elise walking out on their relationship 15 months ago. Then Elise is seated next to her on a flight, and the emotional progress Avery thought she’d made is reset in an instant.

Just like their first flight together, this one also has some bumps. But this time they don’t have to make a go around for a safe landing; they just have to deal with an overzealous fan threatening Elise. And when Elise comes begging for a place to stay until the stalker situation is resolved, Avery has to agree it’s the perfect solution to keep Elise safe. After all, nobody knows Elise Hayes used to have a girlfriend.

It’s only for a few weeks, what’s the harm? Except for some tiny issues, like when you’re still kind of in love with your ex and the mutual spark is as strong as ever, it’s easy to fall into familiar habits. Then there’s Elise’s apologies and genuine regret over leaving, which makes it hard for Avery to hold on to past hurts and sends her simmering emotions to a boil.

But love and sparks aren’t always enough. If Avery and Elise can find a way to move past everything that came between them last time, maybe they’ll get a chance to go around and try landing their relationship again.

More greatness from EJ Noyes and Abby Craden!

One of my favorite things about EJ Noyes's books is that each one is completely unique. She never returns to familiar settings or themes. So when she releases something new it's like a wonderful gift you didn't know you needed or wanted.
Air Marshall Avery Weston and A-list Actress Elise Hayes are really likable characters. The reason for their split prior to when the book begins was believable and I appreciated that some real thought and reflection was put into the circumstances around it. While the secondary story line is about Elise's stalker, this is primarily a romance about how couples that are genuine soulmates work their way through issues to be together.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is also the author's most sex-heavy book - and that's saying something considering she also wrote Turbulence. I'll admit - I still think Turbulence is her sexiest story overall, but this is definitely way up there. As I was listening to Abby Craden's expert delivery of said love scenes, I thought about when people ask questions in Facebook groups about why Abby is so popular with lesbian listeners. HELLO - if you enjoy sexual situations, she delivers them so wonderfully! She's all in. And no - that's not the extent of why she's a favorite. Craden truly performs works - and brings all the emotion and vulnerability with it. The Noyes/Craden combo continues to hit it out of the park and I'm thrilled that it continues.
While this story focused on rebuilding the relationship and trust, the suspense and climax of the stalker story line was something else and had me on the edge of my seat! I loved that Avery was an air marshal, as that's not a career I've ever seen portrayed in lesfic.
Definitely a great addition to the Noyes catalog and my library!

Great story, fantastic character building. I love how E.J. Noyes added a slight tangent to her book "Alone"
"Who ever wrote that sounds seriously weird."
Placement is everything! This story flowed smoothly, and of course Abby Craden brings it all to life! Just get this book, and while your at it get E.J. Noyes book "Alone" while you're at it.

Another one…

Another stellar story and narration. Noyes and Craden are like Pippen and Jordan. What else needs to be said?

Noyes and Craden rock it!

I loved this book. We even got a cross reference to Noyes’s book Alone.

Not many scenes are steamier than the ones in this book. I started it on a work trip and I was about 2.5 hours or so I’m when I had to turn it off so I didn’t show up at the office all hot and bothered!

E.J. & Abby make a great pair

E.J. writes another stellar story line. Abby Craden does amazing work as a narrator, her many voices, dialects and accents are top notch. Abby is in a class all to her own and has something special. Abby knows acting and I would not be surprised if she attended some acting classes when she attended her university. The fact that she knows exactly what the writer was going for in every sentence is incredible. Abby, I would listen to any book you narrate.... wait, let me say that again. Abby, I would listen to ANY book you narrate as long as it is LGBTQ with a heavy emphasis on the "L"... lol.

Abby was sooo good!

I can’t imagine anyone else as the voices for these characters. The book was intense and by far the best of the tree lesbian books dropped on the 16th (nov) Abby gets 10 ⭐️s.

OMG

I got so excited when I seen another book had come out and that it was narrated by Abby again. Best combo. I literally couldn't stop listening to it bringing me 0500 when I've just finished it.

I of course would have loved it to have carried on for longer like I have with all of her books and want more just because they are so great.

Loved the reference to another book which gripped me too.

Another book for me to listen to again and again.

Flying High

Yet again the Noyes/Craden combo rocks!!!!
First the excellently written prose, that lends to the sumptuous vocals....I'm all of a quiver.
Let's hope Alone wins that Oscar 😉

Romance and suspense!

Go Around is a second-chance celebrity romance with a thrilling twist. EJ Noyes once again writes with a style and confidence that drips from every page. She crafts her stories with exquisite ease and with this book she once again proves she is the undisputed queen of the first person point of view. Paired with Abby Craven’s sublime narration this is a triumph. Need I say more?

A must read

I’ve read or listened to all of EJ Noyes books, and yet not one of them is alike. The story lines are always completely different (obvs) but it’s not just that. The formula to each romance she writes is always unique and surprising. This book does not disappoint. From chapter one you’re thrown straight into the MCs jobs and lives and it’s a gripping start that makes you want to get to know the characters. It’s funny and romantic and sweet, with awesome supporting characters and a shivers worthy bad guy, and I fell head over heels for Ellie and Avery. They are so sweet and honest and raw with each other *happy sighs* Honestly it’s brilliant and Abby as always did a fabulous job at narrating.

Surprised and disappointed.

Air marshall, death threats, old romance rekindled amidst the danger, sounds great. I like to think of myself as a modern man and the fact that the romance was a lesbian one, bothered me not at all - love is love. So I'm feeling bad about stating how painful this book was to read. As it went on I started fast forwarding through big chunks , finding that the story had moved on not at all. I have finally given up as it's disappointing to feel that it's an endurance test. It's a mind-numbingly predictable, repetitive crawl through their relationship. I hope the characters find love - I am a romantic at heart - but I can't be there to witness it. It reminds me of when someone tells you AT LENGTH about a very personal dream they had. You want to listen, to be supportive but actually you just want to run away. I'm probably a bad friend. Sorry about this.

The best wlw audiobook I’ve listened to!

Stop, just stop. This was an incredible listen. I enjoyed the characterisation and the way Noyes draws you in with a fast paced plot and dramatic twists. I need more of these characters (please!).

Boring, mundane story

This book was just an excuse for the writer to indulge soft lesbian porn. Story was dull and dragged on, Don't bother.

Another great one from E.J

I love how E.J experiments with different kinds of stories, characters and challenges and this book was no different to the others. This book was wonderfully steamy, romantic, scary and addictive. As well as that Abby Craden never lets us down with her wonderful narration and depiction of these complex characters. Another relisten for me :)

Great writing and performance.

I really enjoyed this book. E.J Noyes is brilliant especially with Abby Craden's performance. Old lovers reconnect when a chance scare encounter brings them together and they work through their baggage from the past to see if something remains to build from. As someone who has never been in a relationship...I felt like I had gone through it too. Now that is good writing. I did feel like there was a bit of plot missing. Like having more interaction with Elise's job after coming out and if people recognize Avery while she is working and how that would play out if she gets found out. It didn't hit me like Ask Tell (but thats the book that broke my wlw book virginity so to speak though haha) but it was a pleasant ride that's for sure. Looking forward to "If I Dare Ask" more than Christmas. Definitely worth a listen.
