Publisher's Summary
Global Strike - the final book in The War Planners series.
It has been over a year since the war began. A year since China launched its surprise attack on America. EMP and cyber weapons plunging much of the nation into a dark chaos. Thousands of anti-ship missiles gutting the US Pacific fleet. A Chinese-allied North Korea launching an all-out attack on South Korea. Chinese information warfare campaigns triggering America to launch a nuclear strike on China's own nuclear stockpile. And the international political consequences that followed....
The Chinese-American war has grown cold in the past year. The two superpowers are separated by ocean-sized moats. China's strategy is to put America under siege, politically and economically. And it's working. But the flames of war will soon re-ignite.
Chinese President Jinshan is not long for this earth. With cancer giving him only a few months left to live, he is ready for his final move. A massive Chinese military transit across the Pacific, and eventually onto American soil.
The Americans are preparing. David Manning is one of the top analysts on the joint CIA-DOD Silversmith team, and he's desperately searching for a strategy to win. His brother Chase is working with American special forces and CIA teams in the Chinese-contested territory of South America. Victoria Manning is the commanding officer of a navy helicopter squadron in the eastern pacific. Lena Chou is held prisoner on an American military base.
But everything is about to change.
Time is running out.
And the Americans will need more than technology or bravery to win the war.
They will need a plan.

Meh.
I wanted to like this book because I like the genre and the plot has promise. But like the earlier books in the series, (there is some lazy writing, unnatural hasty dialogue and plot holes papered over with only a few lines. The first book in the series was good but this is the literary equivalent of day old fast food. I recommend this book for anyone who wants something to half pay attention to while commuting. I do not recommend it for anyone who has the time and energy to find a better book.

Warbook series ?????
It was not what I expected. I thought it would be lots of action battles, air and naval conflicts but turned out to be more of a spy, political series. I found myself bored halfway through these books but figured since I'm this far I may as well complete the series.

Very enjoyable!
Great ending to a great series. I listened to most of this series on Audible and truly enjoyed every minute of it. This book was like the others, action packed and riveting. It tied everything together and didn't leave me with any lingering questions or thoughts that it "should have" ended any other way.
In my opinion, money and time well spent!

Great series! Great Finale
I couldn’t stop listening. The story is complex, but not confusing like some others can get. Sporadically woke, which adds nothing to the story but distraction from an otherwise well written story. The Narrator did a great job of changing his voice for the multiple characters. 4 stars only for not getting any background on how to say some of the acronyms. In the Military they are usually said as a word, not spelled out. For the uninitiated, that won’t take away from the story, just something that could have made the telling even better.

Great series.
This series appears to be long, but as I listened it seemed as time went quickly as did each book. The premis of the story was good and the storyline was complex, yet easy to follow. My only "complaint" was the ending of this book. As complex a story the series is, the ending left a lot of unanswered questions. I wish there would have been just 1 final chapter to help answer those questions. Oh well, it was still a great book and a great ending for the series.

Hmm, don't think too hard about the plot mistakes,
A good concept although after 4 books I realised the world war was between 2 people and there was a lack of credence about the early story line. As thousands died, our main characters seemed to miss the bullet every time. That said it was enjoyable for the escapism and I won't be too harsh . I'm looking forward to more from this author though.
