Story
Taking place nearly a century before the events of A Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms compiles the first three official prequel novellas to George R. R. Martin's ongoing masterwork, A Song of Ice and Fire. Before Tyrion Lannister and Podrick Payne, there were Dunk and Egg. A young, naïve, but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals - in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg - whose true name (hidden from all he and Dunk encounter) is Aegon Targaryen.

When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

Before Miss Peregrine gave them a home, the story of peculiars was written in the Tales. Wealthy cannibals who dine on the discarded limbs of peculiars. A fork-tongued princess. These are but a few of the truly brilliant stories in Tales of the Peculiar - the collection of fairy tales known to hide information about the peculiar world, including clues to the locations of time loops - first introduced by Ransom Riggs in his number-one best-selling Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series.

okay story---horrible narrator
What disappointed you about Girl's Guide to Witchcraft?
The story had promise but the narrator was horrible! She paused every three words. Placed emphasis on the wrong words or phrases, had no concept of conversation flow or even sentence structure. Made it extremely hard to keep listening.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
A different narrator!
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Emma Galvin?
Amanda Ronconi would have done a great job with this one.
Any additional comments?
Not worth the credit. Can I have mine back?

Cute story, awful narrator!
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
This was a light, entertaining book. The story flowed well and kept my interest.
What didn’t you like about Emma Galvin’s performance?
The narrator doesn't seem to understand the purpose of periods and commas. There were many times that the end of one sentence became part of the next sentence, changing the meaning. If you record the next book in the series, please use a different narrator.

Narration is Terrible
What would have made Girl's Guide to Witchcraft better?
Another reader. I had to abandon the story within the first 15 minutes because the narration was so bad.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Emma Galvin?
Almost anyone. Her style was practically monotonic and she paused after every second or third word regardless of natural phrasing. I'll NEVER listen to any book narrated by this individual again!

Horrible Narrator!!
What did you love best about Girl's Guide to Witchcraft?
I think the story would have been cute, but the narrator ruined it!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Girl's Guide to Witchcraft?
Trying to fight past the horrible grasp of the English language of the narrator.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
She paused where she shouldn't have and didn't where she should have. She used improper emphasis on words causing them to make no sense. There might as well have not been any punctuation, because she paid it no attention!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I love to listen all day as I work and run errands. I have probably taken 5 times longer to finish this book, than it would normally take. I am the kind of reader who really hates to put down a book or quit listening, the only reason I haven't just walked away from it is because the story is good, but Emma makes it so very hard to listen to for any length of time. Keep having to take a break. My 11 year old grand daughter would do better!
Any additional comments?
Redo the series so that Mindy might actually have a chance of getting people to continue the series. I will not get the other books because of Emma's mutilation of English and Grammar.

What is wrong with the narrator?
Who on earth decided that the narrator should pause every three words? I don’t understand how this got through post production.
The story could probably be cute enough but the narration just hosed it. Who earth was the director, the person in charge of making sure that this recording was done professionally?

Love the story… However…
The story is wonderfully fun and the “reader” has a pleasant voice… However, she reads monotonously in staccato bursts of phrases that aren’t even connected much of the time so that I had to spend more time figuring out what she said than enjoying the story she was narrating.
It’s a shame how often a poor narrator can sabotage a good story. I’m not sure if I will buy the further books… Maybe by the end of this one I will have become accustomed to her awful reading style and entranced by the story enough to buy the next one.

Good Story, sadly narrator not great.
A story about a women's path to self love and acceptance with the help of a bit of magic.
characters are endearing and varied. Good story about bringing magic to daily life. Rather than a good versus evil, heroine discovers magic kind of story. I was forever waiting for the catch or a twist, a hidden witch hunter.. No one appeared. I will read the next one to see how this story develops.
The really disappointing part which made it difficult to finish was the narrator, most of the time ok, but kept pausing in the wrong places stopping at end of lines rather than sentences.

Fun and engaging story once you get used to the narrator pausing unnecessarily in the middle of sentences. Commars and full stops aren't just there to make the page look pretty.

Story
The beloved New York Times best seller from acclaimed author Eleanor Brown about three sisters who love each other, but just don't happen to like each other very much. Three sisters have returned to their childhood home, reuniting the eccentric Andreas family. Here, books are a passion (there is no problem a library card can't solve) and TV is something other people watch. Their father - a professor of Shakespeare who speaks almost exclusively in verse - named them after the Bard's heroines. It's a lot to live up to.

Story
A full-length standalone romantic comedy from USA TODAY best-selling author R.S. Grey. Beau Fortier starred in most of my cringe-worthy teenage fantasies. I met him when I was a junior in high school, a time that revolved exclusively around bad hair, failed forays into flirting, and scientific inquiries into which brand of toilet paper worked best for stuffing bras. That is, until Beau moved into the small guest house just beyond my bedroom window. A 24-year-old law student at Tulane, Beau was as mysterious to me as second base (both in baseball and in the bedroom).
