Ghostgirl features Charlotte Usher, a high-schooler who can't help but feel no one knows she's alive. Then her nagging fear is confirmed. One day she no longer just feels invisible - she is, in fact, dead and literally haunting the halls.

Critic reviews
"Tim Burton and Edgar Allan Poe devotees will die for this fantastic, phantasmal read." ( School Library Journal)
"Posey nurses the wry humor of the novel’s stereotypes - from wannabe to super cool. Her voice strengthens, and her pace quickens during the witty dialogue between Charlotte and various disdainful ghosts. Posey also dramatizes the heightened emotions during conversations." ( AudioFile)
Potentially great Story, Disappointing Narration

I absolutely love MC Charlotte Usher, the social outcast who wanted to be popular but instead died and became a ghost girl before she had the chance. The way she obsesses over popular boy Damen brings back memories for me of the high school crushes I could never have 😔.
This all being said, Parker Posey’s performance was absolutely awful. She spoke too quickly and was incredibly monotone. I guess this was recorded quite a few years ago. Luckily, nowadays, there are so many great audio book narrators, there is no reason to hire a so called “actress” not fit at all for this genre. The only thing that saved the audio in the slightest was Vince Clarke’s cool musical chapter intros.
With a different narrator, I would probably rate this a 4 or 5, but as it is…
Great story, Poor Performance
