NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Seven perfect days. Then he disappeared. . . . The debut novel from the author of The One Day You Were My Husband is a love story with a tantalizing secret at its heart.

“I absolutely loved this book and didn’t want it to end.”—Liane Moriarty, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Big Little Lies

“This is an ‘accidentally stayed up until 4 a.m. because it’s impossible to put down’ kind of novel.”—USA Today

When Sarah meets Eddie, they connect instantly and fall in love. To Sarah, it seems as though her life has finally begun. And it’s mutual: It’s as though Eddie has been waiting for her, too. Sarah has never been so certain of anything. So when Eddie leaves for a long-booked vacation and promises to call from the airport, she has no cause to doubt him. But he doesn’t call.

Sarah’s friends tell her to forget about him, but she can’t. She knows something’s happened—there must be an explanation.

Minutes, days, weeks go by as Sarah becomes increasingly worried. But then she discovers she’s right. There is a reason for Eddie’s disappearance, and it’s the one thing they didn’t share with each other: the truth.

I was hesitant to buy because I thought it might be your typical romance. Then I finally purchased the book and put it on the back burner. Wow, am I glad I didn't miss this one. Flawed heroine. Beyond surprising. Incredibly poignant. Could not stop listening and yet I dreaded coming to the end. I won't say more. Just listen now.

Lovely narration too.

Beautiful story!

This book is really good. It has all the elements of a thriller, with twists and turns that make you question everything the narrator has read! I loved the ending. Lately I've found that books in this category have endings that just make you say, "UGH!" This one was spot on. I can't say more than that without it being a major spoiler! Also, it was a little dark, but not overly depressingly dark which seems to be a theme of late. Overall... I loved it!

Just when you think you have it all figured out...

The story is very trite and hard to get into. No self-respecting 40-year-old woman would put this much thought into a man she only spent one week with and it is hard to get past that. The lead behaves like a teenager and it is super boring to hear about. Will he text, is he going to text, I'm looking on my phone and I don't see a text bubble, a text bubble would mean he is texting me but he is not. Why is he not texting me? No joke, the book goes on like this forever! We get it, he is not texting. The end is good if you can hang in there past the boring 1st half.

Boring but gets better if you stick with it.
